Problem with importing mdl-file into 3d max 8.0

I wonder if anyone can help me with this ; I extracted the of helmet 10 with kotortool and now I want to import in 3d max , I've got NWmax running in 3d max and I use it to import the mdl file . But when I click import I got the following error : Binary mdl file not decompiled . check file is valid or NWNmdlcomp is present .

 

So I gues I'm skipping an important step some where or I'm missing a tool ????

 

I've looked around the forum .... but didn't really found an anwser

 

So please help , I really want to make a model for kotor , even if it is a box
