And Ross said just come and play...nothing that there was 4 people on. But still like I said...I was talking to a really good female friend Maybe next weekend we can get 5 people on it. I haven't had a chance to test it yet (you need two people online to test), but everyone should download this, and then we can use it in all our games! Kurgan Posted September 12, 2006 Author Share Posted September 12, 2006 Yeah, actually this Friday I have to work 12-4pm Central, and then I'll head home quick to fire up the server (unless something else comes up). If anybody is in Nashville that day, from 9pm to midnight we're having "arcade night" which is supposed to be a whole bunch of arcade machines at the cinema on campus (woot! retro gaming r0x0rz). So I'm going to be going to that, but I'll fire up the server sometime between 4:15pm and 9pm and keep it up probably at least until 12:15am. Kurgan Posted September 15, 2006 Author Share Posted September 15, 2006 TGIF! Alright guys, just a heads up, I'm going to be firing up the server in a few hours. It should be up TODAY (Friday) from 8:00am to 4:15pm Central time (for those of you on 24 hour cycle/military time, that's 800-1615 hours). I will be back until 9:00pm Central, but I am not sure if I'll need a nap or if I'll have the server up in that in between time. Then the server will be up again 9:00pm-12:15am (yep, until after midnight!). If I return and see people playing I'll be more inclined to leave it up longer of course... IP is still 69.180.215.175 Any problems or questions, feel free to email me (kurganx@comcast.net), I won't be checking IM's much throughout the day (since they interrupt the server if I leave it on). Am i right in thinking most US peeps won't be on until 5 or 6 central time, which is around 10-12pm GMT? Maybe i'll try again then as well. I'll be here about four hours then I'm heading home for a nap (we have arcade night on campus so I'm going to be heading out again, but if I turn the server off from 4:30pm-8:30pm don't be alarmed, it just means I'm sleeping, but it will be back on, so just try every 15, 20 mins or so just in case. You know, if anyone has Qtracker, you can try entering the IP of the server and see if it works. Also, I recommend people SUBSCRIBE to this thread so you get an email sent every time there's a reply, that will help you keep on top of things. I will definately have it up by 1:00pm until 5:30pm Central, but if I am up earlier or something I'll fire it up then, or if I hear from people. And if people join I'll be more inclined to keep it up later into the evening too! Also I'm experimentally using QTUplink, so you can try using Qtracker to see if the server is up. However if QT doesn't show the server up, try logging in with the IP manually just in case, it might not be working properly, but I just want to see if Qtracker will show the server when it's actually up! (http://www.qtracker.com) <--- a great server browser/launcher program to have anyway, and also has support for shoutcast mp3 radio servers!
