How do you think it should be different from Jedi Oucast/Academy ??

(Apart from the obvious... improved graphics, physics and AI...)

In my opinion:

1. Much MUCH less enemies who use force powers. There could be for

example 2 or 3 big sith master characters who have full array of force

powers...

And maybe 3 - 5 characters who can't use higher powers like Draining,

Lightning and Grip. But can do some basic telekinetic stuff (push, pull)

and of course force jump and such...

And maybe up to 15 characters who can jump high and move fast and

have fast reflexes but can't directly use the force...

2. Also much less enemies with lightsabers... Maybe maximum of 20...

3. Blaster weapons which works more like in movies... (These guns in

Jedi Outcast/Academy are just ridiculous. First of all their bolts should

go much MUCH faster and they should make more damage... And most

blasters should be semiauto guns... When did hand held blasters ever

fire rapidly like machineguns in the movies ??)

4. Characters should look more like in movies... (Jedi and Sith should

wear mostly robes and such and Sith should wear dark black and red

and jedi lighter natural brown or grey clothes...)

5. And voice acting could definitely be better than in Jedi Academy...

(Felt like some annoying cartoon series... Especially that stupid Rosh)

6. And it would be nice if there would be lots of noncombatants and

roleplay elements... And it would be nice if you could change clothes

and they would affect how characters would react to you... (If you

walk around in stormtrooper armor in some remnant/empire base you

might go unnoticed for while for example...)

7. And overall I would like MUCH MUCH MUCH darker story settings...

(Maybe empire could rise again during the game no matter if you play

in dark or light side... or something... but not any happy happy sight

seeing tour in SW universe next time please...)

Some nice oppinions there. Here are some of my suggestions

1 More bad guys. like cmon there is not enough bad guys in these lvls. Lets have a big war as well all the movies had some battle in em so cmon lets have em in the games to.

2 Multiple ways to complete the lvl. like come on just a straight path through the lvl is oldish now and days add multiple ways to complete objectives. Like you suggested being able to change clothes etc sound like a neat idea you can go in covertly or you can just go like a crazed mad man storming the lvls etc.

3 Harder ai this is something they should add in the games jedi master diff just dont cut it to me. ok I admit its can get challenging and troopers should stink against jedi in the first place. But recall the 3rd film those stinkin clones anihalated the jedi not including anikan of course. maybe have a thing like in dark forces remember em gonna make a super army kinda like in outcast as well with the reborns etc.

Hmm that about all i can think of at the moment now on some of your quotes I know deffinatley the weapons must be improved acuracy and speedwise for sure. Like cmon lasers not being acurate is a bunch of bull in my opinion. Maybe improve on the reticule as well. Some of those weapons were hard to get on target. the disrupter rifle for instance.

I actually like fighting against the sith. but i gotta admit in the time of age they r in (The Remnants) would be hard to actually find any sith and jedi of course that are out there. Idk if the Empire should come back why not bring the Sith back. which sounds neat in my opinion(they should do that in the 3rd Kotor film if they gonna make 1)

Idk about more uncombatant stuff it kinda sounds like Kotor to me and as we all know the Jk series is so far a shooter series but having alittle of this and alittle of that wouldnt hurt it in my opinion.

I don't want my good guys and bad guys wandering around in girly cloaks. Sheesh, jedi were much cooler when they didn't all have to dress like a crazy old hermit who lived in the desert... :D

When did "crazy hermit wear" become the official jedi uniform? How come obi-wan's cunning attempts at hiding involved: Not changing his clothes (phew!), going to hang out with the step brother of the guy hunting all the jedi, changing his first name but not his last??

[/rant over] ;)

I thought that luke and kyle had much cooler gear, personally.

I beg to differ Toms. Obi Wans uniform as we can call it never changed through all the movies. And of course it looked cool. I think Luke would look cool with atleast a robe on but thats me. Actually he did where a robe during the last film. It wasnt for long but he still wore 1. He looks fine the way he is now. And know this with Kyle. In these games he wasnt totally a jedi right from the start excluding Ja of course.

Robes can be useful for alot of things. Stealth is prob the biggest thing. but cmon you would think these aliens would be smarter than that(Guess not hehe). And besides you dont want the jedi wearing armor you know it slows em down. Why do you think they wair robes then? Light clothing easy to manouver in etc.

2. Also much less enemies with lightsabers... Maybe maximum of 20...

But isn't this the fun part?

I can't say I enjoy those seemingly endless duelling marathons at the

end of both JO and JA... Duels should be harder and longer but much

much rarer...

the game needs more freedom.. more as a big world rather then a level based system.

perhaps u could train ur force powers in the jedi temple and do missions for credits.

and u may start off with a certain ammount of credits to build a lightsaber with, like peice by peice make the hilt and the energy source etc.

possible story: mon mothma is killed by a bounty hunter hired by a sith lord, and one way to complete the mission of finding out who hired the hunter would be to hide in the ship of the bounty hunter, follow the bounty hunter into.. say a bar (episode 2 & 4 style bar fight), or use some sort of tracking device.

depending how u did it your given a score and rank and your sent to somewhere with a hard difficulty or a low difficulty.

if your skills are too low you'll obviously fail.

by death obviously.. well.. ur dead..

u may have a limb removed or something..

or have ur credits stolen

would add a larger ammount of depth to the game.

actually running around to the jedi temple.. and travelling in your ship to corusant etc.

and to make sure that players don't max out thier skills and do the first mission they can only train every couple of hours or so, and it will be like a proper instucted tutorial.

like practicing a saber stance against a master.

I'd like a new plot. Maybe even (heresy!) a plot that DOESN'T involve evil jedi. Its just getting ridiculous how every darn jedi becomes a sith.. they must have about a 20% success rate. By Kotor2 they even have to ackowledge this fact.. and how the jedi order itself must have some deep rooted flaw, for so many to keep falling. Of course the difficulty is to find a suitable enemy that ISN'T a dark jedi.. which i guess is why they are forced to come up with star trek nonsense like the Vong.

The only three viable time periods are: Ancient (kotor style), Pre episode 1 or Intra-trilogy. Of the three I'd probably go for Intra-trilogy as having the most potential. (thought taking part in the mandalorian wars mentioned in kotor would be fun - assaults with bassilisk war droids = cool!)

I'd also prefer to play as a bad guy for once. The dark path was very popular in Kotor and JK, and everyone liked being bad in Tie Fighter. It also helps with the problem of suitable opponents, as we'd be able to fight jedi. (non fallen ones! shock!)

I think a mechwarrior mercenaries style approach has some promise. (or maybe more like theif). Where you can gain credits by completing missions and objectives, and use them to buy weapons, upgrades, items, maps, intel, etc.. for your next mission.

An Aurra Sing type character would work well for this. A bounty hunter, but with some force and lightsaber abilities. Initially you could take missions from everyone.. but later a bigger story would emerge and you'd have to pick a side. You might meet peeps such as Jerec (and other inquisitors) who might try to get you to join the inquisitors, darth vader in his hunt for jedi, Rahn and Kyle's dad in early valley of the jedi incidents, etc..

Plus you'd get to hunt jedi to make a cool lightsaber collection :D

The advantage of this sort of approach is it might add some value to the guns, if you buy them and upgrade them yourself and choose the right ones based on intel, rather than them being an afterthought like in recent games. Heck, for assasination and kidnap missions sniper rifles and tranq guns might be much more appropriate than a lightsaber.

good jedi going bad is getting old myself but its something that should happen though. You know the lure to the dark side is hard to resist etc. But cmon where is all the GOOD jedi. There should be alot of GOOD jedi compared to all the jedi leaving and going bad. Storyline in Kotor 2 was kinda stinky that the Jedi were at falt there. I dont think they should have a storyline on that like they did. I would think the Jedi order exspecially in the movies werent at fault with ani going bad etc. If anything is at Fault it is the jedi turing to the darkside not the teachings of the jedi etc.

It might be nice if you would start as bounty hunter or mercenary or such

and with no active force powers or lightsaber at the begining but since you

would be very force sensitive person you would have some advantages right

from the begining (some matrix time effects could be there because of your

exceptional reflexes and speed)

And also it would be nice if instead of begining your force and saber training

as jedi you would start your training under some sith lord (but of course you

should be able to turn away from the dark path before the end if you want)

I would like to have this story in the game: (found on wookieepedia.com)

"Kyle went on to became the academy's foremost battlemaster, educating many Knights like Jaden Korr, and fighting in the Battle of the Jedi Praxeum where he stopped a rampaging former Emperor's Hand by the name of Jeng Droga.

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Kyle helped develop strategies against the invaders and freed the human captives of the Imperial Remnant world Ord Sedra. Near the end of the war, the living planet Zonama Sekot agreed to help the Galactic Alliance, and Kyle was one of several Jedi Knights bonded to seed-partners and provided with Sekotan starships in the final battle.

After the end of the invasion, Kyle heard a rumor that the Sith still existed. Due to his personal experience on Dromund Kaas, Kyle investigated, following clues from Ord Sedra in the Clacis Sector first to Yaga Minor, and then halfway across the Galaxy to the Cloak of the Sith, near Roon. Kyle went missing there. Jan Ors and Jaden Korr set out to locate him.

Mara Jade Skywalker, Jaden Korr and a group of Alpha Blue specialists led by Jan Ors tracked Kyle to Roon and freed him from Daye Azur-Jamin, who had been missing since early in the Yuuzhan Vong war, and had subsequently turned to the Dark Side. Daye was eventually redeemed, revealing the presence of a Force-sensitive Yuuzhan Vong. Kyle returned safely, and took an active role in Jedi affairs, being appointed to the Masters' council."

Playing as Jaden I think. But acctually I want a new JK game with Kyle Katarn.
