I think a TIE Fighter port to the Nintendo DS would quite possibly be the greatest handheld game in the history of mankind. The top screen could display the gameplay, while the bottom touch screen was full of controls you could tap on with your stylus. Double front shields? Tap on the little shield switch, and so forth. I've looked at the system specs of the DS and compared them to the system requirements of the original TIE Fighter. The DS can handle it, no problem. I really wish Totally Games or Lucasarts would bring TIE Fighter back. After Revenge of the Sith, I think a lot of people want to play the bad guy side of things. Plus, TIE Fighter let you fly alongside Darth Vader and rescue Emperor Palpatine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
