BongoBob Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 I had a horrible stomach virus this morning. Spent the whole damn morning hoping that I would puke my brains out so I would get better. Obviously, never went to school. Guess what day just happened to be today. Senior Ditch Day. Now the teachers from the 4 classes I had today all think I ditched. Isn't that special? Now I have to bring in my Mom to let them know I was legitimately sick, so they don't punish me. Because I know for a fact that two of my teachers were going to have assignments worth major points on senior ditch day. Anyone else have anything this ridiculously unlucky happen to them? Lady cut me off then stopped right in front of me so she wouldn't hit the truck that was in front of her. I'm trying to merge left a lane and I didn't see her. She hit it anyway though, since I rear-ended her. Now I have to go to court. Hopefully they'll give me traffic school so it won't go on my record. The lady filled a claim and now my insurance will go up, and I'll probably have to pay this big ass deductable out of my pocket. Screwed ****ing over. However, it's only 2 more years of grad school to pick up a masters degree, the tuition of said graduate schooling will be paid for by my job. Which, contrary to popular belief, does not involve giraffes. Ergo, suck it. That does really suck though, Bongo. edlib Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Something similar once happened to me: I got sick on the 5th of July once, and had to call into my job to tell them I wouldn't be in for the morning shift. They gave me such a hard time, not believing I was genuinely ill and not just hungover, and insisted I get in. I hadn't even been partying the night before at all. Fortunately, it was my second job at the time, and I really didn't like it all that much. I told them to stuff it and quit. The place (Bradlee's) went out of business a couple of years later thanks to Wal*Mart moving in just down the street. Didn't hurt my feelings much... Did you strain your neck or shoulders or did they just start happening? I got a concussion last February from snapping my head into the boards while playing ice hockey. The doctor told me they were tension headaches and that I might need therapy to help them go away. But I never did do therapy but took lots and lots of ibuprofen.
