Lagg Issue

Recommended Posts

Kotor laggs with me all the time, while I know I meet all requirements, it laggs in the menu, when I try to play the game, everywhere. I've searched the internet for a solution and all I found is the "edit swkotor.ini file"-solution that solves the dantooine bug, it doesn't work for me. I tried reinstalling the game and the swkotor.ini fix, I made 4gb of extra "thinking-space", but nothing works, nothing that I tried...This also occurs with TSL, but not with any other Star Wars games I have installed.

yeah, the game is going to be very choppy because the devs @ both Bioware and Obsidian didn't do much to optimize performance for integrated graphics. the Radeon XPRESS 200, which is what you have, is actually a very limited integrated chipset at that.

you're best bet is to get a cheap graphics board and be done with it. you likely have a PCI-Express x16 slot on your computer, so your best bet would be an Nvidia GeForce 6200 or better, and the 6200 in particular can be had for under $50. ;)

you could try updating your graphics drivers, but i don't think that it would help much. :(
