ZaXeriaw Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I just finished one of the more modern adventuregames out there. It's a sequel for The Longest Journey, and it's called Dreamfall. I haven't even played more than the first half of TLJ, but wauw what an amazing game! When I fiished it, I had almost the same feelings, like the ones I had, when I finished GF the first time. There is almost no similarities between GF and Dreamfall, except for that it's an adenventuregame, but wauw. Atm I really missed more of those kind of games!
lipton Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 thanks for the tip! will check it out http://www.dreamfall.com/ another tip is Syberia 2
SeaTurtle Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I've played The Longest Journey and I really liked it. The story really picks up in the second half. I haven't played Dreamfall yet, but I do want to. Hopefully I can pick it up fairly cheaply and finally get around to playing it!
gingersonny Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 The Longest Journey was indeed excellent, and Dreamfall is just...well, i found it amazingly good, if flawed in some parts (not really enough puzzles and some irritating action bits, if its the game im thinking about). But great story, loads of fun to play, and excellent graphics as well
ZaXeriaw Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 Yeah, it was the story I was amazed about. The moest of the puzzles were actually very easy, if you compare it to GF, except for some very unlogically ones. But I just fell for the story, and it's what I would call a "good-feeling"-game. A game where, like if you have seen a very good movie, are just sitting back, after you have finished, and you're thinkin "Christ! That was great!"
gingersonny Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Yeah I totally agree, the story hooked me straight away...in fact, I really wanna play it again now! I'm gonna have to get my bank card back out again and hit the net and buy it i think
