Darth InSidious
A while back, iNutter released a camera angles mod. Personally, it's not to my tastes, so I decided to release one that does things a little differently. I should warn you now that these two mods are mutually exclusive - you cannot make both run at once. Well, not without some tweaking, anyway. From the readme: Camera Angle Options v1.0 ------------------------- by Darth InSidious ------------------ ********************************************************************************************* UNDER _NO_ CIRCUMSTANCE IS THIS MOD, OR ANY DERIVATE OR PART THEREOF, OR ANY OF MY OTHER MODS TO BE UPLOADED NOWHERE, AS PART OF A TORRENT OR AT ANY OTHER WEBSITE, FTP, SERVER ETC., EXCEPT BY MYSELF. ********************************************************************************************* NOTE ==== This mod may be used for either KotOR or KotOR II: TSL. Description ----------- This mod alters the default camera angles used by the game so that outside dialogues and cutscenes, your character will be viewed more distantly, as is more common in RPGs like 'NeverWinter Nights', 'Dungeon Siege' and 'Diablo'. There are four different options to choose from: Option I, No Combat - This option gives you a camera angle slightly closer to the character than normal which will show the upper half of your character from an angle above the player, but does not affect the camera angle while in combat. Option I, Combat - The same as above, but does affect the camera angle while in combat. Option II, No Combat - The same height, but a greater distance from the character, showing the whole of the character. This option does not affect the camera angle while in combat. Option II, Combat - The same as above, but this option does affect the camera angle while in combat. Installation ------------ I. Choose which game you would like to install the mod for. II. Choose which option you want, Option 1 or Option 2. Open the appropriate folder. III. Choose whether you want to use this option in combat mode or not, and select either 'Combat' or 'No Combat', as appropriate. IV. Open the executable, which will be named something like "Install Camera Option I, Combat", for example, but without the quotes. V. Click "Install mod", and follow the on-screen instructions. VI. Choose the appropriate game folder for the game you chose in step I, for example, C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR\ if you were to install this mod for KotOR I. Uninstallation -------------- Delete the file 'camerastyle.2da' from your Override folder. Known Incompatibilities This mod will conflict with Nutter's Camera Styles mod, since that does exactly the same as this mod. Disclaimer --------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc., Kotor Tool belongs to Fred Tetra, NWNSSCOMP belongs to Edward T. Smith. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is and without alteration, unless by expressed permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. Use it how you like, but if you're going to post it up somewhere, or make a derivate mod, or use it in another mod, you must ask me first. Credits/Thanks -------------- Fred Tetra for the truly awesome KotOR tool and his nwnsscomp conversion; iNutter for releasing the original mod, proving that it could be done; Holowan in general for being helpful, friendly and all the rest of the good stuff it is ; KotORFiles, for being simply the best website in the history of the internet...Propaganda?
