Da_man Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Basically, I ran across a website called Metroidmetal.com, which is basically a guy who does some heavy metal covers of songs form, you guessed it, Metroid. stingerhs Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 nice work. what i really like is that he took the time to do renditions for almost every track. i might just have to add some of these to my every growing music collection. kudos on the find. i myself have a very good friend of mine that is a superb guitarist who has done several renditions of the ol' 8 and 16 bit classics such as Mario, Metroid, Sonic, and Mega Man. i'll contact him and see if he still has them somewhere so y'all can check them out. stingerhs Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 i told you that my friend had some music that he's done based on some of the old games, and he told me it was ok to link to it. its on a Myspace page for a "band" even though he's the only member, and he hasn't done hardly anything to lay the page out, but he does have a couple songs posted. from Mega Man X (main theme and end theme), the Zelda theme, and finally the Sandopolis Zone theme from Sonic 2. link here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

King Dando Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I remember finding Metroid Metal quite some time ago and finding it pretty impressive =) If anyone is interested, MegaDriver does a lot of metal covers of Sega Mega Drive/Genesis songs.
