Game Update 4

Publish Notes, May 27, 2008

Commando, officer, and smuggler profession and expertise updates; new stackable damage over time effects; addition of a particle slider and other UI improvements.

Combat modifiers Block Chance, Dodge, Evasion Chance, Parry, Critical Hit and Strikethrough Chance are now under a diminishing return formula. This formula affects skill mods granted by jewelry sets, power ups, and skill-enhancing attachments; buffs and other bonuses granted through expertise are not affected.

Commandos and bounty hunters share the same armor break debuff. Both professions can stack the debuff to 5. Armor break on players reduces based on a percentage, while armor break on non-players is a flat amount. See the profession notes below for more details.

Debuff purge abilities decrements a debuff's stack. This means if you have a debuff with a stack of 3, and you use a debuff purge ability that will reduce/remove 2 debuffs, the stack is reduced to 1.

New icons have been added for bleed damage over time abilities.

Stasis can be used on beasts.

Commandos receive a free expertise respec upon logging in to Game Update 4.

Commandos can apply stacks of a damage over time (DoT) effect up to an increment of 10. If two commandos are using the same elemental type weapon, they can both increment the DoT stack. If the owner of the buff stack switches weapons and applies a new stack of dots, the original stack will go away. If two commandos are using two different elemental weapons, both can have a stack of their respective elemental type.

A new commando weapon has been added, the CC-V 'Legion' Cryo Projector. This is a cold elemental spray (flamethrower) heavy weapon.

The Crusader M-XX Heavy Rifle elemental damage type has been changed to electricity.

The C-M Frag Storm Heavy Shotgun elemental damage type has been changed to kinetic.

Using heavy weapons with low action no longer give the +TOO TIRED+ message.

The kill meter is incremented as the commando deals and receives damage.

The ability Empowered Attack has been added to the profession wheel, which improved damage from rifles, carbines and pistols for a short duration. This ability consumes points from the commando kill meter.

The ability First Aid Training has been added to the profession wheel, which improves healing effects for a short duration. This ability consumes points from the commando kill meter.

The ability Double Time has been added to the profession wheel, which boosts the commando's run speed for a short duration. Activating Double Time cancels Position Secured if it's active. This ability consumes points from the commando kill meter.

The Cluster Bomb expertise has been added in the Commando expertise tree. When used, this ability will throw a grenade which will then fracture into multiple smaller bomblets over a large area. This ability consumes points from the commando kill meter.

The Killing Spree expertise has been added in the Commando tree. When used this ability, fires an additional attack at a nearby engaged enemy when the commando attacks. This ability consumes points from the commando kill meter.

Modified Killing Grimace increases the number of additional attacks made during Killing Spree by 1 per point.

Blow Them Away has been modified to increase the bomblet count of Cluster Bomb by 2 per point.

The Remote Detonator debuff is a -100 Precision maximum from expertise instead of -50 Precision. Its cooldown has changed from 120 seconds to 20 seconds. Its damage bonus maximum from expertise is now 100% instead of 60%. The action cost is zero.

When an officer types %TT in the /sysgroup message, the target's name is inserted into the message. The default colors for the message are light blue for the officer's name and red for the officer's text. The officer can change the color of the text by inserting hex color combination before the message; for ex: \#00ff00 Move out!

Added group waypoints. This ability allows officers to set waypoints for their group members. /groupWaypoint allows the officer to type the slash command and drop a waypoint at their feet. The waypoints clear themselves in 10 minutes unless the group member logs out or server goes down. This ability is granted at level 18. In addition to the slash command dropping the group waypoint at the officer's feet, officers can use the ability in the toolbar to ground target where it will be placed.

If your beast reaches level 75 and you still have a dietary supplement buff, it will be removed as your beast is now too high a level for this to take effect. You can, however, give them a Mark II after removal.

Munitions traders can now craft Beast Dietary Supplement Mark II. These are used to boost your beasts experience gain from levels 75 through 90.

Storyteller invitation terminals will no longer fail to invite someone to the story if the storyteller is offline.

Adding a description to a blueprint is now checked against the profanity filter.

The relative position of blueprint objects is now based off of the player's location rather than a calculated center point. This allows for more predictable deployment. Previously saved blueprints will remain unchanged unless resaved. This does not change the design saved onto a blueprint, but rather tightens the manner in which a blueprint design is recreated relative to the location at which you clicked.

Various fixes for the Durni Picture Collection have been made.

Star Destroyer Heroic Encounter:

Krix Swiftshadow on the Blackguard will now properly reset when there are no remaining valid targets in his room.

A Painting, Painting of Blumbush, and Grunda Painting have been re-sized to their original size.

Added backs to a number of paintings; the painting's original size and orientation should be maintained.

Galactic Civil War PvP collection loot items (ranks and logos) now stack automatically.

Storyteller blueprints have been added. Blueprints allow a storyteller to lay out a scene with storyteller props, save that scene, and deploy it quickly and easily. The storyteller vendor near the NPC theaters in each city offers a blueprint for sale. Use the radial menu on the blank storyteller blueprint in your inventory and choose Save Blueprint Data to save the complete scene.

You can also add a description to a blueprint that can be viewed in the Examine window.

Ground targeting for storyteller prop placement has been added.

Jukebox converters have been added to the storyteller vendor. A jukebox converter will make a storyteller prop that you target and that you own into a jukebox. It will then behave just like a normal jukebox storyteller prop.

The music being played by a storyteller jukebox can now be heard whether or not you are part of that jukebox's story. The one exception is if you are participating in someone's story, then you will only hear music played by jukeboxes that are part of that story.

NPC difficulty converter tokens have been added to the storyteller vendor. The NPC difficulty converter tokens change a storyteller combat NPC to elite difficulty or to boss difficulty. You must own the storyteller combat NPC in order to change its difficulty (or be assisting the owner).

Storyteller invitation terminals have been added. A storyteller invitation terminal allows players to join your story without you or an assistant needing to manually invite them. Anyone who uses a storyteller invitation terminal will be added to the owner's story, unless they are already a member of a story.

Storyteller props may now be purchased in bulk, up to 10 at a time for most props.

Combat and Flavor NPCs may now be asked to unequip their weapons, or to re-equip them again if you wish.

Additional storyteller props and NPCs have been added.

Storyteller events can now be held on Dathomir, Endor, and Yavin 4.

Repeatable Galactic Civil War PvP collections have been added.

A collection with an Instant Travel Vehicle reward has been added.

A number of new ground collections have been added.

Added recourse effects to dire root and dire snare. Once you have been affected by dire snare or dire root, you are immune to the effects for 25 or 18 seconds respectively.

Increased base duration of dire root; the total duration remains 9 seconds.

NPCs immune to taunt effects are now also immune to Provoke.

Resistance to root and snare effects are now a rating rather than binary.

Added the ability for select creatures to be resistant or immune to Mind Trick.

Power Ups:

Buff icons for active power ups have been added. These icons indicate the remaining duration of the power up.

You can now overwrite an existing power up with a new power up.

Fixed an issue with power ups cancelling their effects upon cloning.

All foraged food components now stack.

If a cloaked player encounters a thief or worm while foraging, the cloaking will be removed.

Players must leave city limits to forage.

Plasma grenade particle effect changed to not be so obnoxious.

Fixed duplicate yellow sparkler types; there is now a red one instead.

Added color names to the end of all classic props (sparklers, ribbons, etc.).

Changed ribbons for mystical and sparklers to really be yellow on the ones specified as yellow.

Successful Blaster Burst and Razor Slash attacks apply a debuff that increases further damage by Blaster Burst and Razor Slash by 10%. This effect will stack up to 10 times.

Heroic Encounters:

Changed legacy Axkva Min badge to state it was awarded for legacy content in the Nightsister Stronghold and not for the Axkva Min heroic encounter.

Fixed an issue in the Tusken Army heroic encounter that prevented players from advancing to phase 3 of the encounter.

Area spawns around Tatooine should be the appropriate levels now.

Adolescent Krayt Dragons no longer spawn in terrain.

Vehement durni warriors now spawn in the wild.

Updated Bink Video library to version 1.9c.

Miles Sound System has been updated to version 7.2a.

The text for claiming the 57 month veteran rewards has been updated.

Corrected an issue with the scout trooper belt appearing camouflage instead of white.

don't be a player hater, just cause we rape you doesn't mean we don't love you, we just prefer dominating our relationships

me, i prefer dominating every game i play. Always pick the best, why choose anything else?

SWG - Spies, kill fast and rarely die

Deco - Psyche's, the best defence in the game, add all attack stats so i have the ability to tank and kill massive groups

WoW - Warrior, defensive skill tree, whirlwind and cleave maxed, all lifesteal items and enchantments available in game, kill waves of hordes without ever dieing, more enemies means more rage, and the more life that would be stolen to heal me. If a mage comes by thinking they can easily kill you, equip a shield and reflect his strongest attack back to him and watch him 1 shot himself

CoV - Dark/Dark Brute, huge defense bonuses, plus every attack i did on an enemy lowered they're accuracy so i rarely ever died. More enemies meant more life i could steal, more energy i could steal, and the more power i could gain by using drain attacks. I could go from almost dead to full health with 1 ability, if i did die i had another ability to bring me back, it pissed people off too cause they would spend a lot of time trying to kill me and as soon as i died i would be standing again with a god mode shield that no damage could get through, plus they would be stunned so they couldn't do anything but get raped by me because it gave me a power buff so i would be even stronger then i was before. I never once had to stop moving in that game, if i was low on health i could jump into a group of enemies and steal health to get it back up.

Its fun to make a character that no one can stand up to
