What if the rum market collapses? No more pirates. So, whilst Ninja waits for the night to come, a pirate could very well go without rum if sh*t happens. But night can be countered by artificial light, and certain parts of the world have sunlight for months at a time. As for rum, everyone knows that at 3rd level pirates get the class feature 'Permadrunkness' and the lower level pirates can always get another type of alcohol, just because rum is their favourite doesn't mean that they can't have a beer. You claim artificial light is the ninja's bane! I ask you; what of alcohol-free beverages?! You damn wel know the 'permadrunkness' can result in liver failure. So the Ninja wins without fighting.
