Quanon Posted July 5, 2008 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Hey, Me and GloveMaster once had a fun evening on MSN chit chatting about mods. And well we got carried away by funky crazy ideas and actually agreed to do a mod together. Joining or forces, we've constructed the Scrapyard Games, in all its basics its an arena mod. Though it got nicely dressed up as the whole thing is made by me. While GM would handle all the scripts and other files needed to get things working( yes, I'm lazy ) Yes, fully new models for about 5 areas ! To sum them up: - Landing Dock - Cantina - Game Master Room - The Arena - ... ( suprise) So like I said its an arena, you'll battle lots of droids and ofcourse harvest some nice prices on the way. A little background: The arena is located on a small Satelite space station in orbit around Nal Huttaa, so its owned by the Hutts, though its runned by droids. The droids do all kinds of jobs, bartending, guarding, moving cargo from the ships and so on... All by all a fun place to have a look around Progress ? Well, 4 areas are done modelwise, fully textured and playable in the game. To top it off, they're already filled with life. Dialogues are added, though VO's are being worked on. Ofcourse their numerous little bug and kinks(scripts and what not) that need to be sorted out so its done, when its done ! But enough of my blabbing, time for some screenys ! Silveredge9 Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Look's a very promising project, especially considering it's made up entirely of new areas. I hope you cook up something good. Although to nitpick a little, looking at this screenshot, the placement of the protocol droids in the background seems a little rigid and it makes them look like they're in a battle formation. No,no feel free to post what you think could/would work better. You"ve done more of these things then anyone else I can think on the boards. And are now pushing our selfs to get it done. Certain things got cut, other altered... its always nice to have grand ideas,but often they're not realistic. And where not SilverEdge, no idea what that man drinks... or what his mommy puts in his food Anyway some small new teasers, 1 shot of the cantina, yes again, its differant now though And 2 renders of masks you can buy or earn by fighting in the arena.
