A question about the Force

Has it ever been possible for a Force-user to give Force powers to a non-user? Or does some one have to be specifically born of the Force?

You have to be specifically born with the Force. Although Tavion (a Dark Force user) used a scepter to empower Cultists (originally non-Force users) with the Force.

"non-Force users" does not equal to "non-force sensative"

 

Various people/sentient have various level of affinity with the force, with some species having latent affinity accross the board. But there is quite some difference between a bit of affinity, like guessing the fav color of that hot twi'lek girl, versus being able to move a battleship.

Exactly. The Rakatan species used to be capable of impressive Force Power. Conquered the galaxy with it. In the first Kotor,only 1 force sensitive Rakatan remains...who only has visions.

 

But to answer your question:

They tried. Dooku tried a blood transfusion from the frozen body of Syfo Dias to Grievous. It miserably failed. Grievous didn't become stronger.

 

Also, some species tend to have a greater % or people becoming Force Sensitive. I recall some Kotor 2 dialogue about Ithorians...they only had 1 Force Sensitive member (who could only guess colours 'n stuff) in a gigantic amount of years.

What about the Reborn? Isn't them being artificially imbued with the Force an example of my question? Or am I simply miss leading myself?
