Saw the midnight showing last night. I was a bit disappointed. It was a good movie, and I love Daniel Craig, but it was definitely not Casino Royale-good. I think Hermie and Ztalker summed it up pretty well. The action was very hard to follow, and there was too much of it. Not a very memorable Bond film in my opinion.
Saw the movie on Saturday, I thought it was good, I enjoyed it, but you couldn't really have expected it to be better than Casino Royale. It just didn't have the plot to be able to best CR. I really did like the...

Goldfinger throwback with Ms. Fields covered in gold, black gold, subtle yet obvious I thought it was clever.

Overall it was a good film, but it wasn't epic, not that I expected it to be.

The Brosnan films (with Goldeneye and Tomorrow being...somewhat 'normal' ) were too unrealistic for me.

 

All the Bond films I've seen are unrealistic. Its kinda the point. However, if you really want unrealistic.... watch Moonraker!:xp:

After thinking about, I honestly though Quantum of Solace felt more like the other Bond movies. Like I loved Casino Royale and all, but that one seems to be an introduction of James Bond, in which it was, but didn't really seem like the other movies. Like QoS was shorter movie, around the same lengths of the other movies. It just felt like the all the other Bond movies to me.

Yeah... we have to wait till the 19th... I'll probably end up seeing it on Friday night or the weekend... bleah

Who's never heard of JAMES BOND, let alone not seen any movies!!

 

Not even the ones with Sean Connery, or with our good red comrades who like to blow up stuff and act detructive, you don't know them???

Saw it on sunday. Liked it a lot, to be honest, which was kinda surprising, since I didn't liked Casino Royale one bit. Loved the fact that the bond girl doesn't get laid with Bond - despite doing so with half of the male cast. That's for a change.

 

I've heard of james bond. I've just never had time to see a movie

 

yeah, with the animes and all.

I went to the movie with some friends and here's what I thought (may contain spoilers):

 

I didn't know when the movie started since

there is no title card

and thought it was a

movie preview

The movie was everywhere and I didn't understand the storyline until I was told. I am also to believe many people didn't understand certain parts of the movie. For sometime I thought

Bond was the bad guy for killing all those people

and was surprised that there was

more than one Bond girl. Humph! Guess they can't keep a Bond movie original, can they?

We were never told much about

the secret organization QUANTUM

and I

never knew which person was good or bad

Also,

Judi Dench seems to be losing her humorous good ol' M side. Now she's an emotionless block of ice

And for many moments

it seemed Bond was going to be arrested

The only humorous part was when

Bond tossed Greene the can of motor oil and left him in the desert

The ending was too short and they forgot the finishing touch:

Q and the gadgets!

But IMO, the movie was great, and I can't wait for it to come out on Blu Ray/DVD!

 

Sorry for some people if that seemed like a complaint. But I have my right to an opinion, don't I? :)
