NEW SCREENSHOTS

I'm not too familiar with HTML so I haven't had the chance to experiment with the different areas of the site (that and I don't want to jump the gun and accidentally screw something up royally) so it'll just be the screenshots, front news page, and maybe the shot of the day feature once I have a few more good screens to add.

There are some new areas (the elevator and the red force fields, in particular) but most of what's been done in narshada is re-texturing and architectural enhancements to what Salv already built pre-6-level-release. I haven't really gotten to the bulk of the new stuff yet so there's quite a ways to go on this one.

As far as other levels are concerned, I've finished two levels of the revamped detention center this week and I just started on a new version of the fuel station. It's just the airlock right now but it's a good jumping off point.

I'll have more screens coming in the near future.

Looks absolutely astounding, guys. I can't believe how professional it looks! As I played the sic-level demo, there were times where I completely forgot that I was playing Jedi Academy and felt more like I was playing Doom 3. It all looked so much different (and better) than anything Raven did with the original game.

Nice job!

Hi DSM,

I'm a long-time lurker (who's a med student with enough on his plate that he probably won't post here too often) with a little bit of HTML knowledge, and I'm posting to tell you how to update the progress page :)

There are a few sections that look like this:

<TR>

<TD WIDTH="260" HEIGHT="100%">

<DIV ALIGN="left"><FONT color="#9AC8EB" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="1">

<B>I: The Secret Base</B></FONT></DIV>

</TD>

<TD WIDTH="200">

<TABLE WIDTH="200" HEIGHT="12" BORDER="0" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0">

<TD><IMG WIDTH="200" HEIGHT="12" SRC="graphics/image.gif"></TD>

</TABLE>

</TD>

</TR>

What you need to do is find where it says IMG WIDTH="XXX", and change the number (in this case it's 200). The number should be the percent done on that section multiplied by 2 (in this case The Secret Base is 100% done, so its width is 200; After the Massacre is 95% done, so its with is 190).

Hope that helps! Us lurkers do enjoy seeing the progress meters go up from time to time :)

Thanks for your hard work on the mod, and especially for stepping forward to pick it up when all hope seemed lost!

I think that should pretty much cover everything for now.

Enjoy!

I couldn't help but notice you said your not that good with html, ok so I might be able to help. See long ago before some buildings fell and some people went to war, I was a web designer, and flash MX tech. Now I'm a soldier, but I am willing to dust off my gear and revive your website, along with making you easy intructions on how to update it, I would leave the site mostly html, but add a little flash, I DON'T need access to your site, I just need a go ahead from you, and I will make a dummy site, you can leave me with details of what you would like or let me do my own. I only hope that this can free you up a little and allow you to get down to the meat part of this. My email is NateThompson114@gmail.com (I am not making websites for anyone else, I am a soldier, in the medical field, my time is limited)

First, thanks for the offer. That's extremely generous of you given how you're currently serving in the military and all. It's very appreciated.

At any rate, it's not that I'm not good with HTML, I've just never used it before now so I'm not intimately familiar with how it works (I'm afraid it would be the same case with flash). I was able to edit the scripts for the narshada screenshots gallery easily enough so I don't foresee myself having any major problems down the line. So, for now, I'm going to stick with the website in its current incarnation. But as I said before, thank you so much for the offer.

VeganwithaYoYo, thanks for the tips. I'll see about updating the progress pages on the next website update (which should be coming shortly, early February, I think).

No problem, just want to help tried to play df and it's hard to deal with flat graphics and low resolution. Though the offer stands if you change your mind or want to add something.
