"Alright everyone, through the portal!"

Kaneda nodded, and rushed everybody into the spinning portal that was to exit this terrible place. "Go go go!"

The bomb was nearing the end of its warm-up period. As soon as everybody entered the portal, there were only 30 seconds remaining on the timer. Kaneda grabbed Specter by his arm, and pulled him into the portal. They both entered the spinning, hellish vortex: soon they saw light up ahead.

---------------------------------------------------------------

They both landed on the familiar sandy shores of the beach overlooking the ocean. The next thing everybody knew there was a heavy vibration below there feet, and shook the earth like an earthquake. Blasts of fire bursted from the portal Specter had made, acting as a conduit from the Hidden Base to the beach. The portal began closing. The earthquake began settling down, after a few long minutes.

The objective was complete: Gatoa and the Arashi were destroyed. The fate of the Ten Tailed Dragon's spirit was left ambiguous. Kaneda stood up, and began reverting back into his normal state. All of his white fur degenerated and reveresed back into his skin. His tails shrunk and disapeared. His long pointy ears returned to human shape.

Kaneda dusted off his torn and blood stained clothing. He looked around at everybody else, whom was recovering from battle. Things seemed abit quiet. Kaneda soon noticed the entire army didnt greet them on the beach. They werent there. Did they all make it out alive?

Naruto was the first to say something. "We've ended up on the wrong beach..." he said. He picked himself up. "Everybody should be a few kilometers away from here..."

-------------------------------------------------------

Tategami was waiting on the beach, along with the remaining numbers of the army that infiltrated and destroyed the base. He didnt lose hope: he could feel Naruto, Kaneda and the others. They could have been caught within the blast. Atleast, thats what the Commander thought.

"Its been half an hour. They havent rende vous with us. I'm begining to lose hope."

"They'll be here!" Tategami assured. He looked in the distace. Sure enough. Seven figures were in the distance, walking towards the army. Naruto was carrying Dai's body.

They arived face to face with Tategami and the Commander. Tategami beamed and ruffled Kaneda's hair. "They were begining to lose hope that you had not returned." he then eyed Dai's body. No life signs. Tategami expressed a sad face. "Oh no..."

Tategami walked to where Naruto was standing, holding Dai. He placed a hand on his forehead protector. "He was an excellent student. No... he was more than that."

"He was an excellent student. No... he was more than that."

Karela walked up to Dai's body and sighed heavily. "Dai was our friend. He was always ready to lend a hand when one was needed." Karela looked up at Tategami and Kaneda before looking down at his body again.

"I think I should be the one to tell Lee-sensai and Shizune-sensai about what happened to him. I'll tell them that he died as he lived: As a true Shinobi. But I think it's time that we think about what happened in the base when Gatoa was defeated. The ten-tails is on the loose and we need to think about how we're going to handle that problem"

"The ten-tails is on the loose and we need to think about how we're going to handle that problem"

Tategami looked down at the sand below him, removing his hand from Dai's forehead. He stared at Naruto when Karela imposed this question.

"When a Jinchuuriki dies, its takes his bijuu with him. When we're considering a Ten Tailed Beast with the sum total of nine heritages, of course it isnt gonna go down that easily."

"For now, we can only keep fighting. And fighting. Eventually, we may learn of a means to destroying it." Naruto spoke. "But today marks the day of the end of an evil that could have devastated the entire world. Their hearts were in the right mind, but their methods were simply too extreme with many negatives."

"They werent environmentalists..." Kaneda added. "They were extremists. Yet while the Arashi arent the best examples, we can learn from their motives and undo the damage humanity has caused this planet."

He looked out at the ocean sunset. Purple was begining to darken the sky, with the starting to rise. Kaneda left the group. He began thinking for the future ahead of him.

Somehow, he could still feel the Nine-Tails spirit within his Werebeast form, and began wondering if it will ever diminish. It felt eternal, yet he couldnt explain why.

He felt this mission was a form of revolution for him. He hadent thought to much about his future, up until now. He wanted to explore the Shinobi Land and beyond, from an artistic point of view. He heard of an academy that specialises in Kenjustu and Sword Arts, that he often thought of taking up.

((sorry - meant to be Kenjustu, not Juinjustu. Got mixed up with the names :p ))

Karela considered what was said. She remembered that Akagi had once said that the Samurai had come up with traps that could deal with tailed beasts. She didn't think that anything currently take on the ten-tails but perhaps she would visit him just to be sure.

She watched as Kaneda left the group and began to follow him. She quietly came up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"What are you thinking about Kaneda?"

Kaneda felt a sudden tap on his shoulder. "What are you thinking about Kaneda?"

He turned to face her, and smiled sheepishly. "Lots of things really... I guess you could say I'm being faced with a dilemna... or a revolution."

Sea foam was washing ashore onto his boots. He didnt seemed to mind it. "I want to explore the open world, beyond the Shinobi region. Well... theres an academy that specialises in Kenjustu and Swordplay, that I thought about attending first. But thats whats worrying me."

He turned to Karela, held her by one hand, while patting it with the other. "I would feel like I'm abandoning everybody. My family, my friends... you... I'm sorry if I seemed a little forward back at the base. I was worried that alot of us wouldnt be coming out alive." He looked over where Dai's body lay. "Looks like my suspicions were correct."

"Looks like my suspicions were correct."

Karela nodded her head as she turned back towards Dai's body. "Dai knew the risks when he came along for the mission. He would happy knowing that we managed to take down Gatoa."

She then turned back to Kaneda and smiled sadly. "Rest assured Kaneda, you are not the only one thinking of leaving. I'm thinking of heading toward where Akagi went. His people managed to come up with traps that were designed to deal with the Tailed beasts."

She shrugged her shoulders. "Would it really be so wrong? To leave the village to learn how to protect it against something as monsterous as the Ten-tails?

After Asuka helped Yoroi and Takeda, she walked along the sand, away from the others. It was over. Gatoa was gone. The Arashi destroyed. Everything found peace. Maybe for now...

The young girl sighed, and looked back at the others. They worked as a team and as a family. Some didn't make it out alive. At least their spirits would live on. If only the others knew that Dai's spirit was in a better place...

Asuka walked along the beach again, having tears in her eyes. Maybe if she found a peaceful place to live, with Takeda, everything would be fine. Sure, she still had some struggling times, but she wanted to live in a beautiful valley with no people, no fights or wickedness... just a beautiful, green valley with lakes and hills. Asuka wiped her tears, falling away from the group.

"Would it really be so wrong? To leave the village to learn how to protect it against something as monsterous as the Ten-tails?"

"Its better to have something, then return to nothing at all." Kaneda paced around the water. "First I will want to go home first, and say goodbye to my family and everyone else."

He turned to Karela and smiled. "Who knows... we may run into each other once we go our seperate ways. I owe you a drink, after what we have been through and the time we spent apart from everyone."

"I say do what we have to do. Depart from Konoha, only if you feel its what you truely want to do. Everybody will understand, and will behind you 110 percent."

Karela smiled at Kaneda and then looked out over the ocean as she thought about what she had to do before going out on her journey to the lands where Akagi had come from.

"I have a couple of things that I have to take care of before I leave. I need to apologize to a few people, gather up whatever I'll need and then I need to say goodbye to a few certain people."

She sighed heavily. "I'm going to miss the village, but I feel that this needs to be done just in case."

((I was waiting for Cyborg Ninja to reply, but I'll go ahead and post anyway so we don't hold up the RP. Sorry Cyborg! :( ))

Yoroi rested for awhile on the beach, recovering from overexertion. I'm certainly not using the Rinnegan for at least a good year unless I'm forced to, he thought.

Eventually he stood up and walked over to Dai's body, amid those already paying their respects. Like Nagato before him, Yoroi did have the ability to restore Dai's soul and effectively reverse death. He was perfectly willing to make that small sacrifice of lifeforce. However, he knew that the Hokage had knowledge of his ability. If it was something that Naruto and the others would have wanted, they would have probably asked. In their eyes, and in Yoroi's as well, it would be disrespectful to Dai's sacrifice to just erase it.

The dead will remain the dead, and living shall go on living.

He bowed to Dai's corpse respectfully and walked away. As soon as he had the chance, he intended to send a message to Amegakure and let them know the crisis was past and he would return home soon.

He glanced over at Takeda, the Rinnegan sensing the familiar darkness within. But of course, he is still there. I'll stick around long enough to confirm if that will be a problem...and to see if any celebration is in order.

"I'm going to miss the village, but I feel that this needs to be done just in case."

Kaneda smiled, and stared out into the ocean as well. He left with a pat on her shoulder, and walked towards the Dai's body.

He knealt down beside him, grabbed his limp hand and grasped it. He stared at his peaceful sleeping face. "We could not have done this without you Dai..." a tear rolled down Kaneda's eye; which he quickly wiped hiding from everybody else. "Thank you..."

Five Weeks Later

The first fortnight was a long, emotional one; attending Dai's funeral, planning Kaneda's future ahead and applying for and relocating to the Kenjustu Academy situated in the Land of Forests.

One week after that, he got a reply and was requested to attend an inteview with a representative located within Konoha. After much consideration, he got accepted.

The remaining two weeks consisted of Kaneda packing his bags, saying long goodbyes to both his parents and family. But apart from and kept between Hokage Naruto, the Kenjustu Academy Instructors and the others, nobody else knows about Kaneda being a Jinchuuriki/Werebeast hybrid - and so should best to remain as that.

Kaneda held the straps of his bag, walking through the sunny streets of Konoha towards the Great Gate Entrance of the village.

Just as he was nearing, and saw it in the distance, he felt the familiar presence of his old instructor sitting atop of a building. Sensei Tategami landed on his feet, to greet Kaneda.

"Leaving already? And here I was thinking you would have the decency to greet me goodbye." he beamed.

"Why, sensei... how could I even forget?" Kaneda said sarcastically, while smiling amusingly. "I already said my goodbyes to everybody else. Including you."

"To be precise, exactly 14 hours and 58 minutes ago you greeted goodbye to us."

"You're keeping a tab on me, even when I'm about to leave?" Kaneda scratched his head, awkwardly.

((The final, optional part of the RP, where everybody says goodbye... if you so desire :D ))

Karela sighed as she looked down on the Hidden leaf village from above. Since her mother and father were dead as far as she knew and she had no living relatives she hadn't had that many people to say goodbye to. Of course she had said goodbye to her teammates before she had left.

The first week back at the village had been the hardest. She had told both Lee-sensai and Shizune-sensai that Dai had died like a true shinobi. Lee-sensai had handled it well, he had shed his tears and had attended the funeral along with Shizune-sensai who had also shed tears.

She had then issued a heartfelt apology to the Hyuga clan for her part in destroying their home and then had issued an apology to Hyuga Hinata for attacking her on the day of the attack on the clan. Both apologies had been accepted and all had been forgiven. She had spent her last day in the village saying goodbye to the Hokage and packing for the long journey to Akagi's village.

She looked down and saw Kaneda and smiled as she watched Tategami seemingly appear out of thin air and began talking to him.

I guess it's time for me to leave. Stay safe Kaneda...and maybe if you wait...I'll have an answer for how you feel about me...and how I feel about you.

Karela grabbed the bag filled with spare clothes and and took off into the night as she headed for Akagi's village.

Kaneda's ears raised, as he could feel Karela's presence about a few kilometers away. He looked at the cliff, where all carved faces of the previous Hokage's were set: including Naruto's. Moving his eyes along, across the rooftops of several buildings, stood a female figure staring at them. The figure left.

Kaneda heart felt warm, as he saw Karela for the last time. Tategami joined Kaneda with the gazing. He grinned.

"You certainly have fine taste." he added. Kaneda's face blushed, with a mixture of frustration.

"I dont ramage through your private thoughts, you know!!" a seemingly exaggerated vein of frustration popped in Kaneda's head. He then calmed down, and looked up at Tategami.

"And despite all that, I'm going to miss it." he smiled. He raised an open hand, waiting for Tategami to shake in return. Tategami stared coldly at the hand. "Only meer acqaintences shake each others hands..."

Kaneda had a bad feeling about this. Tategami outretched his big arms and wrapped them around Kaneda. Kaneda couldnt breath, yet found himself laughing. "Okay, okay... stop, I cant breath!"

Tategami and Kaneda said their goodbyes. He walked through the massive gate. And kept walking. And walking. Until he paused, and turned around to looked at the village behind him, which shrunk in the distance. The only notable feature was the Cliff of Hokage faces. "I hope that we meet again..."

And so he kept walking. And walking. Until the visual of his own dot vanished in the distance...

---------------------------------THE END------------------------------------

I am pleased to announce that this RP has been completed. Finished! An accomplishment that even I never thought possible, given my own experiences with my own created RPs.

I would like to thank everybody whom participated, and showed an undying enthusiass, creativeness and contribution to the Naruto Text Based RolePlaying Game.

Now... DRINKS ON ME :D:cheers:
