Swearing: the painkiller for the masses

I do swear when I get dinged, or something like that. (excellent article BTW, murph;))

I have a kind of bad habit of just simply swearing--sometimes I even like it. However, I do realize it is illiterate and I have to curb it for people I care for (relatives, friends form down south), or for important things where one must behave in absolutely their best because education or jobe depends on it.

Still, yeah, I have noticed when I swear out loud or at least yell for a momentary injury it lessens the pain.

This wreaks havoc during my martial arts sessions I would have of character strength building where you must remain absolutely silent. (I.E. Kendo bokken hitting on your back.) You want to scream some obscenity. Doing so will only get you 10 more peltings and scolding by sensei or captain: "Don't take that tone with me!"
