Maybe anyone likes it^^ The site is German, so just click download and you'll get the Desktop Stan! (You need to unzip everything from the archive!) I Made it with "Screen Babe" (no, it's NOT a porn ) http://www.casperlab.com/screenbabe/ i didnt buy it but i figured out how to legally circumvent the shareware limitation . (Thats why there is a starter exe) If you download the program you can open the file Stan.BPF And can you make one with Sam & Max as well? oh, i LOVE Sam&Max! I'll start soon, but i cant promise anything Great! I'd like to see Sam & Max walking around on my desktop making it unsafe for me to use my computer:p Excuse my laziness to try it and find out myself, but what does it do? I mean, does it come on as if it were a screensaver? Or is it there all the time? Is it in a fixed position or does it move all the time? Stan walks around all over your desktop waving his arms all the time. Sorry to be a pain i dont think so, because i exactly took the sprites from the game files extracted with a tool i cant remember anymore. i only changed the color about 3% higher because otherwise the black would have become transparent^^ remember that Monkey Island only had 256 Colors, so it may look a bit strange on a Windows desktop with 4294967296 colors (32bit) here is a screenshot from my Monkey Island II Version in ScummVM i think it is impossivle to see that the colors are changed a little bit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RalF Posted August 12, 2009 Author Share Posted August 12, 2009 Yes, eSheep was really funny unfortunatelly it only was a 16bit program. sometimes there are Problems with XP^^ I'll make some more starting with Sam&Max. But it is not only spirte copying, because every animated part of each person has its own sprite. so for stan i had the body, the arms, the legs, the head and the mouth i all had to combine. Village Center Inc. used to make the screenmate, games, and screensavers with that sheep as well before they closed the company last year. I still have some books, videos, screensavers, and of course the screenmate. I also used to make screen mates using Neko. Looking forward to more characters, like Sam and Max and more. When I postet this in this forum i didnt expect such a "big" interest! I only thought it would be nice if 1 or 2 people woulc download it and have some fun^^ At the moment I'm working with Max from Sam&Max. I just extracted all "normal" sprites and put together the movement. If the interest keeps at this level I think i'll make some more. I don't know anymore, because i took the screenshot from a virtual PC (windows isn't activated on this at all) I Think it's an installer to an older Version of screenbabe. I think it would be fun to see it getting finished. have to admit that i havent a lot of time at the moment and the progress is quite slow. but I'm still working on it. its much harder than Stan because stan only had ONE room and only a few animations.
