Making the Hud Invisible (K1 and K2)

Since there seems to be a healthy interest in creating movies for both KOTOR 1 and 2, I'm surprised this request hasn't come out before.

 

Is it possible to make the HUD (heads up display) in the midddle of the screen invisible so it doesn't mar (no pun intended) any scenes filmed for KOTOR machinima? As Drewton is creating new colors and the like for the HUD in his mod, perhaps it's not hard coded into the engine. (As I'm no modder, I certainly couldn't tell you.)

There is easy way to remove all HUD (in both games) without modding.

Go into "free look" mode and use warp cheat to warp into any module. All HUD will disappear.

It will appear again after saving and reloading though.

I will also reappear if you do free look again.

That's not true. Pressing the free look button is the only thing that will deactivate it, unless you go back to the main menu (I think )
