The Forsaken Ones

Evans pushed off into space. This is why he was Special Forces. He may prefer his Armored Duster to a zero-gee armored suit, but nothing could ever compare to the feeling of drifting through space with only your motions to guide you.

He glanced down at his HUD and noticed that Sam's heart rate was elevated a little, nothing dangerous and it could've just been an aberration or whatever he ate for breakfast, but Evans filed it away in his mind, it appeared that the other man didn't like Zero-Gee as much as he did.

They made it to the outer skin of the ship. Plasma cutters erupted into flame as they cut through the outer layer.

>Plague Recon Squad 418<

Char'ock woke up. His quick nap had been interrupted by the noise of his door opening.

"Sir!" the underling said.

"What is it?" Char responded, barely hiding his contempt.

"The ship we're hailing, its one of ours, and it's malfunctioned. It's giving us a full response, but it won't let us in to its database. It says it's on a mission from the Clerics." The underling stated.

Char's blood drained from his face. If this was true, something was seriously amock. Whenever the Clerics got involved in anything, it was befcause the Plague was suffering horribly at its job.

"Why are you telling me? Go tell the Captain." He said.

"I did, you are second-in-command after all, he said you needed to know."

Char sighed and sat up.

"Well, make them a grand welcoming after we dock with their vessel."
