The Secret of Monkey Island SE Classic Mode in German

Hello!

 

I have a little Problem:

 

I would like that when I press on SOMI SE on the F-10 key that the Classic mode is in German.

 

I have already tried the following:

 

I have patched the extracted Monkey1.000 an Monkey1.001 (after rename to monkey.000 and monkey.001) with the german patch from http://la-patches.gandimann.de/.

After renaming back to Monkey1.000 and Monkey1.001 the classic mode was in german. Now the Special Edition has no Speech (except when in german is the same text as in english), but this isn't a problem, because I do not want English voice.

 

The problem is the following:

When I play in the Special Edition mode the subtitles are in german, regardless of the language I set. (Thats not the Problem!)

But the Umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ß) are not displayed correctly, regardeless of the language, I set. (Later, when I am back from work, I will show you a screenshot).

 

Has anybody an idea, which I can do, that the Umlauts are displayed correctly?
