[TSL] Crazy FPS problems/movement bugs

I just got to the Harbinger Crew quarters with atton and kreia and its like impossible to do anything, the game is basically unplayable.

 

symptoms:

 

#1) Slow as hell. Everything moves at a crawl, I did not have this problem while I was still on peragus... ever since I got on the Harbinger everythings just slow, but thats not the worse of the problems..

 

#2) Movement. I can barely move. Like, If i try to move with the wsad keys the running/walking animation locks up, looks like my character is floating.. also, she runs in a random direction... its basically uncontrollable. Also, it randomly wont let me move AT ALL. wsad wont even send me running in a random direction, i just cant move.

 

The only way I can move with any sense of direction is by clicking on a door, or footlocker, or something, because that still works fine.

 

BTW, I have all graphics settings on low, im running on Vista but I followed all the steps in the "Vista" topic, and my pc SHOULD be more than capable of running this game. Its only started being like this since i got on the harbinger, the actual peragus facility ran perfectly (no pun intended).

 

edit: Ive reinstalled, twice. Still gets all messed up as soon as I get on the harbinger. Also ive just updated my drivers and ive set my graphics card to "optimal performance", which helped a little bit but not much.

It says I have XP..? I have vista. Also my video card is an ATI Xpress 1100

If you followed the install instructions and are running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP, it'll come up with your OS as Windows XP. Mine did that and I have Vista too.

1) You're remembering to set CPU affinity to a single core every time you launch the game, right?

 

2) Your Radeon Xpress IGP should be able to run the game, but it's no powerhouse. Unfortunately, this game's relationship with ATI hardware has traditionally been rocky. Try downloading ATI Tray Tools and make a profile where the both Direct3D and OpenGL are set to Auto Balanced.
