Dantooine Tension

It is the Jedi Civil war and your PC has just arrived on Dantooine. You meet a man in the courtyard of the Jedi Enclave who is part of the group called the Pacis Oddo. This group is a militia like force that keeps peace when the Jedi cannot. This mod will involve doing quests for them and things that I can't tell you because that would be telling.

This mod features

 

1. A major sidequest added to Dantooine which will take you through the strife of a an entirely new faction

2. Several Reskinned areas to explore, repopulated and remade to fit the area they are supposed to serve as

3. New characters with new dialogue, which will be fully voiced

4. Custom items as well as the purple little numbers that fly up when you hack down enemies

Avix Torinar is a veteran Republic Soldier. The Republic stationed him on Dantooine in the Pacis Oddo base to help train the milita.

Sounds really cool.

 

One suggestion, All the uniforms are the same even though they have different jobs and ranks.

 

Could you add something to identify their rank or job. Like in Episode IV they have the differnet coloured squares on their chests.

 

Just a thought

I'll have to ask RedRob41. In the readme he made for the Republic Combat Suit mod he asked not to change the suits. But I think what he meant was the original UTC. I'll have to ask.

I could I guess, but the problem with that is the Pacis Oddo base is not accessible like the Sandral's and Matale's Estates are. You always have to talk to Jerico or some other member to go back and forth between the estate and the Enclave.

Thanks Zhaboka. I will need VOs, but that will be towards the end of the project. I'll keep you in mind.

 

All right guys I have a question for you. I am thinking about changing the music in the Pacis Oddo module. Should I

A) Change it to the Jedi Enclave Music

B) Change it to the Ahto City Music

C) Don't change it all.

 

Thanks for your feeback guys and sorry for the lack of updates. I'm really working with the Global Journal file and the GIT file of the module, and I doubt you want screenshots of those.

^^^ very interesting face! it seems you have combined some faces almost... it looks quite unique, I wonder if anything can be done to better blend some of the color on his face? Right now, unless it is in-game shadows I am seeing, he looks to have stripes of brown on his face.

 

Besides that.... I really like the work!

As an update I am now polishing and finishing up the first quest. I finally sorted out some scripting issues so it shouldn't be much longer for the first quest to be done.

Excellent. Modding can go in leaps and bounds... it is good to get up a head of steam.

 

At this point, since you are laying it out nicely for us with updates and screens... perhaps you could add to your first post a little chart of what is being done in the mod, and to what percentage that portion of the mod is done? You will see this chart in other modder's WIPs; I find it a nice handy snapshot to look at, and easy for you to update down the road.

 

This should be a nice little mod. It has good focus - that is critical!

All right I have not posted an update or even looked at the WIP in a while so here I'm finally letting the stream of updates flow! But first Thanks Doctor-Hal! And Glenn your wish has been granted.

Now if you noticed that the two Mercs surrounding the lead one have PC heads you may be wondering why I did that. Well I basically set the backup head for the PC's the one next so PMHC02 would have PMHC01 as a backup.

This is just one of the results of the quest. As sticking to Kotor there are obviously light and dark choices that change the story if ever so slightly.

 

 

Now one of the character you'll meet in the second quest! I have it so a landspeeder with a sound will spawn behind him but I have had more scripting difficulties and progress has been slow. But we should continue our tour.

Also for the second sidequest you'll be visiting a converted estate into a docking bay, yet I have no screenies for that just yet. If you think that idea is a little bit outrageous of having a docking bay on Dantooine please feel free to let me know.
