"You really like to be direct don't you?"

The taller sith smiled, showing very sharp teeth. "I wouldn't be a sith if I didn't take the direct approach." He said as he attempted to slice Tavaryn's legs off with his saber.

"Freeze. Surrender now."

The shorter dark jedi was about to try and take off after seeing his lightsaber shattered into pieces when the rest of Alpha team appeared behind him. The sith turned to look at the team behind him and then at Tariq.

"Don't surrender!" The taller one shouted as he continued to fight with Tavaryn. "If you do, once I finish this one I'll kill you myself!"

The shorter one turned to look at the Alpha team and the rifles raised against him and slowly raised his hands above his head.

"This battle can't be won. Not with these numbers against us." he muttered.

"Coward!" The taller one roared. It was that moment that the taller dark jedi finally made a mistake. He had left his center wide open to a direct attack.

Ebon Hawk

"Let's go then."

Xandros force jumped down right next to Jun-la and smiled as he reached out through the force and sensed only a few lifeforms besides the ones aboard the Hawk and themselves.

"It looks like we're safe for now. They don't seem to know that we're here." he commented as he looked up at Valek.

"Well you've just volunteered to go on a rescue mission with me and Xandros here."

"Wonderful.", Valek said to himself.

He jumped off of the boarding ramp, and tumbled on to the landing platform.

"It looks like we're safe for now. They don't seem to know that we're here."

"Who?", Valek asked as he pushed himself off of the ground.

I wouldn't be a sith if I didn't take the direct approach.

Tavaryn leapt out of the way as the lightsaber came towards his legs. It had been a while since he had gone one on one in a lightsaber fight but he did get in a few hours practice by the Jedi Belina gave sanctuary to. He replied, "And here I was thinking that you dealt in lies and deceit." He swung his blade to counter another strike.

Coward!

Tavaryn used the distraction that had been created by the shorter Sith to take advantage. He swung his blade and sliced deeply through the torso in one downward movement and then finished with an upward movement and brought his lightsaber into a ready stance.

Tariq watched the movement Tavaryn made and was impressed. He then said to the shorter one, "You have a choice. You can join your friend or surrender."

Meanwhile Tavaryn was studying his downed opponent and he heard, Nice move Tavy.

"Status of medbay," Tavaryn replied to Tara's comment while staying tense.

Doors shut. Having trouble overriding.

Tavaryn gave a slight nod and then cued his comm. "Viper, this is Alpha Leader. Door is secure. Can you let us in?"

Unknown Station/Ship

Who?

Jun-la replied looking around, "That's who we need to find out while we're searching for the child." She looked at Xandros and asked, "Do you have anything? Can you sense anything?"

Confused at the sound of her boyfriends voice, Kalla said, "I thought you were still on the Ackbar."

(seriously, there was no mention of Tonatius on the Hawk for the longest time)

Arriving at the scene outside the medbay, Komad said to the Guardsmen following him, "Restrain him immediately. I think we all know what captured Sith tend to do."

"Viper, this is Alpha Leader. Door is secure. Can you let us in?"

The CMO looked at one of the nurses. Reverse the Lockdown on the medbay doors." She then turned to look at one of the nurses attending Belina. "Status of the Admiral?"

One of the medical alarms suddenly started beeping. "We're losing her!" The nurse shouted out urgently as the lights began to flicker. "We're losing power to the medbay! All of our life support machines are going offline!"

"Lockdown has ended!"

The doors to the medbay finally opened and the CMO ran to the door. "Get in here! Now!" She shouted at the group. "We're losing power to the medbay and that means the machines keeping her alive are starting to fail!"

"Restrain him immediately. I think we all know what captured Sith tend to do."

The shorter sith offered no resistance as he was restrained.

Unknown station

"That's who we need to find out while we're searching for the child. Do you have anything? Can you sense anything?"

"I can sense hostile intentions. Quite a few of them heading this way as a matter of fact."

He paused for a moment. "In fact...there are already a few in here with us. Why they haven't attacked yet I don't know."

He turned to Valek and motioned towards a section of the cargo bay that was obscured by the shadows. "Two of them over there...they know we're here." He said quietly. "Can you take them out? I'm more of a close quarters fighter and your the only one armed with a blaster."

"On it.", Valek said tersely.

He took cover behind a large crate, poking his head out so that he had a clear view of the hostiles. Switching his rifle's firing mode to semi-automatic, he fired two shots in quick succession, killing them both. Looking up, he saw a laser pointed at him, and he quickly dove out of the way and fired at the sniper, killing him too.

"Clear, I think.", he said as he walked back towards Xandros.

We're losing power to the medbay and that means the machines keeping her alive are starting to fail!

Tavaryn snapped to attention and with a speed that would rival a Jedi's, he was in the medbay. It was a miracle that he didn't knock over the CMO as he rushed to Belina's side. Audibly he said, "Admiral if you die on me then I will wreak worse havoc with the viper than I do now. I know you like a tight ship and chaos makes you cringe."

Mentally he cleared his mind. The last time he did this for Garja and that left him drained. Of course he had injuries up the wazoo and had been almost dead. This was different. He cleared his mind and began to open out and seek out the most serious of the injuries. Out loud he asked, "Prognosis doctor?"

Kaillian had been cuddling with her father throughout the attack on the ship. She knew that bad men were there and she had remained quiet except for quiet sobbing that was eased when Matton cuddled her.

The shaking had now stopped and she was able to sense all was not right. Tentatively she reached out, Don't go Beli. Tavy help you.

****

Tariq let the LT pass and focused on getting the squad together to harness the Sith. He said, "Scatty, restrain with special methods and escort to the brig. Inform Admiral Garja we have them."

"Roger that," Scatty replied and she motioned for the others to take the prisoner.

Tariq looked at Komad and said, "Do you wish to make sure the prisoner is secure Master Jedi?"

Station

Clear, I think.

Jun-la gave a slight nod to Valek. She then said, "You should probably take point. Xandros, you watch his six?"

Inwardly she turned to focus. She could sense the child and she could feel its fear. She reached out, Child? Are you all right?

Ebon Hawk

I thought you were still on the Ackbar.

Tonatius was wiping his hands on a rag. He replied, "Andros is not the only one who knows a thing or two about engines. Besides I wasn't really going to let you go alone."

Ackbar Medical Bay

"Prognosis doctor?"

"A power surge blew up a console right in her face on the bridge so I'd say severe facial damage, third degree burns on her face and severe lacerations from wreckage that hit her."

"If the medical bay wasn't losing power I would say that her chances for survival would be much higher. Although the injuries are serious we could have stabalized her already if the medical bay hadn't taken such damage."

One of the nurses spoke up. "I heard rumors that the Death's Head arrived recently. If she can be stabalized maybe we could transport her there. After all, Imperial medical science is at a level equal to ours."

The doctor looked at the nurse thoughtfully and then at Tavaryn. "What do you think? Can you stabalize her so we can transfer her to the Death's Head?"

Ackbar Bridge

"Admiral Garja, It appears that Alpha team took one of our intruders prisoner." the comn officer said. "They are currently escorting the prisoner to the brig."

"Good. Status of the reactor?"

"Repair crews confirm that the reactor overload has been stopped. It appears that the majority of the engineering crew were knocked out somehow."

"I was security guards around engineering at all times. Get the current crew to go back to their quarters and bring the next shift in to cover for them."

"Yes Admiral."

Unknown station

"Xandros, you watch his six?"

"I shall do so." Xandros said quietly as he reached out again and sensed two groups heading for their location. One was large and consisted of around a dozen pirates the other consisted of around four pirates. They were coming from different directions.

"We have incoming. Two seperate groups attempting to take us by surprise. One large group, one small group."

Child? Are you all right?

I'm scared...the child sent back. Her voice was filled with fear. My daddy said I'd be safe but I don't think he was right. A brief mental image of Varith flashed through her miind and into Jun-la's for a brief second. Please help me!

Sith Warship

Varith could feel his daughter's fear through the force and he knew that was a bad thing. If her could sense it then that meant the other sith would most likely sense it.

He also knew what would happen to him soon. The captain of the ship he was on had recieved a message for his eyes only a few minutes earlier but Varith knew.

They were going to order his execution for his failure to arrive at Dagobah in time. The sith did not reward failure.

His grip grew tight around the hilt of his lighsaber as he felt the captain arrive on the bridge with a security team behid him.

This is it...He thought to himself as he gathered the force around him and prepared to fight.

Ackbar Medical Bay

What do you think? Can you stabilize her so we can transfer her to the Death's Head?

Tavaryn looked at Belina. She looked terrible and it looked like heavy duty time in the bacta tank would be needed. He looked back at the CMO, "I'll do what I can."

It was nothing like Garja since the man had been poisoned but the concept worked the same. Tavaryn undid his helm and placed it aside. His locks were stringy from the sweat and he brushed them aside. He closed his eyes and began manipulating his hands like he was trying to shape the energy of the Force.

Admiral. Stay with me. I might even get a laugh at your expense since you might be in a bacta tank.

Tavaryn focused as he coursed the energy through Belina's body. He visualized it as a healing wash of water, cleansing away the damage and the injuries.

Station

I'm scared... My daddy said I'd be safe but I don't think he was right. Please help me!

Jun-la heard the scared pleas of the child. She even saw the image that the child sent. She had never seen the man before but it was interesting and she kept it in memory. She sent back Can you tell me where you are?

The CMO kept a constant watch towards the remaining medical equipment and her eyes widened as the readings for the Admiral slowly began to even out. They were no longer randomly going up and down.

"I don't believe it..." She muttered as the readings finally settled. She could hear the Admiral's breathing become slow and even.

Admiral. Stay with me. I might even get a laugh at your expense since you might be in a bacta tank.

Belina muttered something as she attempted to speak. The CMO leaned closer to her and heard what the Admiral said next.

"I...dare you to laugh Onashi. I dare you."

The CMO couldn't help it: She started laughing. "I can't believe you managed to pull if off."

She motioned for two of the nurses to come forward as the Admiral's eyes started to open. "We'll transfer her to the Death's Head as soon as possible."

The Medical officer looked at Tavaryn. "You saved her life. You know that right? If you hadn't made it here in time I'm certain she would have died a very painful death."

Station

Can you tell me where you are?

The Cathar child tried to stop the onslaught of tears that were threatning to overwhelm her. I think I'm in the brig but I'm not sure.

Sith Warship

"Lord Corial. You have been charged with betraying the Undying Sith Empire by attempting to keep a force sensative child from being taken for training by the sith." The captain's voice was quiet.

The Cathar former jedi smiled as he ignited his lightsaber and quickly turned around. "I may hate the jedi, but I swear that if anyone ever attempts to harm my daughter, they will die."

"Open fire!" The captain shouted to the security team just as Varith unleashed a stream of lightning at the captain and the security team.

Alarms began to blare throughout the ship as Varith ran towards the bridge lift as he deflected blaster bolts that were being fired by the bridge crew. He gathered the force around him and slammed the doors together with enough force that the metal began to crack as he used his lightsaber to weld the door shut.

He paused briefly and began making his way towards the hanger bay.

I...dare you to laugh Onashi. I dare you.

Tavaryn heard the Admiral as he felt her vitals start to stabilize. He felt his energy ebb and he was seriously pushing the limits here. However the damage had been extensive and there was no way he was going to let Belina go without a fight. He murmured, "I just might."

He continued until he could hear the viper's medical equipment even out as her vitals stabilized. He was really pushing the limits and he completely forgot that he had been buried under a pile of rubble earlier. When he was satisfied, he ebbed out the energy and slowly opened his eyes.

You saved her life. You know that right? If you hadn't made it here in time I'm certain she would have died a very painful death.

Tavaryn looked at the CMO as he felt suddenly lightheaded. "Not if I could help it." He couldn't stand and felt his legs give out underneath him and he passed out.

Station

I think I'm in the brig but I'm not sure.

Jun-la listened to the child. At least she had calmed down enough. She replied, It is alright little one. We'll find you.

Looking up ahead she called out to Xandros, "Let's head to the brig. She might be in there."

"We have incoming. Two seperate groups attempting to take us by surprise. One large group, one small group."

"Let's head to the brig. She might be in there."

"Right. The larger group will probably be there. I'll scout around and get rid of the smaller group before they could flank us.", Valek said as he walked down the corridor.

Sure enough, he was right. He heard footsteps rushing down the corridor. Seeing two pirates around a corner, he raised his rifle and fired. Both fell almost simultaneously. Turning down that corridor, he continued walking. After a few minutes of wandering the mazes of corridors, he heard footsteps behind him. Turning his head, he side kicked the pirate, sending him tumbling down the corridor. He aimed and fired at the pirate, some of the bolts piercing the pirate's armored mesh. He unsheathed a vibrosword and rushed at Valek. He brought up his rifle to block the overhead chop, and crouched to punch the pirate in the stomach. He then sidestepped and grabbed his rifle by the barrel, smashing it against the pirate's face, violently knocking him to the ground. He lowered his rifle and fired, killing him.

Walking down another turn in the corridor, he searched for the fourth pirate. He heard someone to his left, and he turned to see a Dark Jedi down that part of the corridor. Walking down it, he changed the firing mode of his rifle to 'automatic'. Igniting his lightsaber, the Dark Jedi advanced on Valek. He raised his rifle and unleashed a barrage of blaster bolts at his adversary. Blocking the bolts and closing the distance, the Dark Jedi grabbed the rifle with his free hand and wrenched it out of his grip, tossing it aside. He then force pushed Valek, sending him sprawling down the corridor. Getting up, Valek unsheathed his vibrosword and parried blows with the Dark Jedi.

"Not if I could help it."

The CMO sighed heavily as Tavaryn hit the deck. "Get ready to transport him to the Death's Head as well. Their medbay probably has more room. As soon as repairs are made we'll move them back here."

"Yes Doctor."

The Doctor looked down at Tavaryn and shook her head. "When you wake up You'd better appreciate the fact that I didn't throw you in one of the bacta tanks."

Station

It is alright little one. We'll find you.

The child looked around and saw a group of pirates conversing with a man with a black robe.

There's someone else here to. He's wearing a black robe...but he looks like hes mad.

"Let's head to the brig. She might be in there."

"Hold on." Xandros said quietly as he reached out through the force again. He could dark presences aboard the station, much darker than the pirate's presences.

"I think this just became much more difficult. I think there are dark jedi aboard the station. They must have beat us here somehow."

He stopped talking as he heard the sound of distant combat.

"...And I think Valek just ran into one of them."

Hanger bay

Varith looked back at the burning mess that he had made of the ship's interior. He had used the force and his lightsaber to make sure they would be too busy repairing the ship to worry about him, and he had managed to plant a few explosives in the engine room.

He looked at a few of the small assortment of ships that had a hyperdrive and quickly selected one.

Varith smiled to himself as he powered up the ship and activated the engines. As he flew out of the damaged hanger he began to calculate the jump to lightspeed. He turned to look at the ship and laughed softly as he saw various hull breaches and small fires breaking out all over the ship.

The explosives should detonate in...three...two...one.

Just as the ship jumped to lightspeed he saw a massive explosion engulf the engines of the ship, most likely leaving it beyond repair and adrift in space.

There's someone else here to. He's wearing a black robe...but he looks like hes mad.

...And I think Valek just ran into one of them.

Jun-la pulled out her lightsaber and held it in her hand, ready to ignite it when she needed it to. She replied, "Let's give him a hand. Any we come across, let's take together unless the numbers say otherwise. Ready?"

"He overdid it again?"

The CMO nodded. "It's a good thing he gave it as much as he did. The Admiral's injuries were very severe and since the medbay is in the shape it's in we're lucky he was here."

Admiral Belina was trying to sit upright on her bed despite the protests of the nurse who was attending her.

"Admiral, please listen to me. You were badly injured and even though your stabilized it's going to take time for you to fully recover. The Ackbar is in rough shape right now and our medbay is in especally bad shape. You and Onashi are being transported to the medbay aboard the Death's Head.

"Grand Admiral Velerc is here?"

"Yes Admiral. I'm sorry to say that we lost quite a few ships from what I've heard from the various crewmen who have been through here. I can connect you to Admiral Garja is you need to get a status report but after that I must insist that you rest."

"Fine." Belina grumbled as the nurse opened a comnline to the bridge. "Garja. This is Belina, I want a status report."

"Admiral! It's good to hear your voice. But your not going to be happy with what I have to tell you. The majority of the Strike Force we brought with us was badly damaged or destroyed. Admiral Velerc managed to arrive just in time to save us and as we speak he is dispatching boarding shuttles to the remaining sith ships. He managed to get them to surrender when he arrived."

"How many ships in the sith fleet are left?

"Seven, most of them are medium cruisers but there are two warships as well."

"The nurse I'm with told me I'm being transfered to the Death's Head so I'll be speaking with the Grand Admiral soon enough. How much did damage did the Ackbar suffer?"

"The Ackbar suffered heavy damage. I have repair crews doing what they can but we may need repairs at a repair facility to repair everything."

"Good work Garja. Do what you can and I'll meet with you once I'm able to. Belina out."

Belina sighed and looked at the nurse. "Alright. A deal is a deal. Time to head on over to the Death's Head.

Station

Don't worry little one. We're on our way. Can you hide?

The Cathar tried to sink back into the shadows of the cell she was in but she knew the shadows wouldn't protect her.

No...they have me locked up. The child looked up for a moment. I can feel other people getting closer to me. Is it you and your friends that I'm feeling?

"Let's give him a hand. Any we come across, let's take together unless the numbers say otherwise. Ready?"

Xandros nodded and reignited his lightsaber. "I'm always ready."

Hyperspace

I can feel you...Don't worry, I'm on my way. Varith sent through the force as he made small course corrections to the controls. They were small enough that he wouldn't have to drop out of hyperspace and risk another sith ship catching his ship on their sensors.

Estimated time to destination: Seven minutes

I'm on my way...do not be afraid.

Tariq nodded. He motioned for Scatty to stay with the prisoner. He woud stay with the LT and the Admiral. He turned to the Admiral when she was finished finding out the state of the ship and said, "Ma'am, the LT will be glad to see you all right... once he wakes up."

Jun-la then turned her attention towards the Sith party that she and Xandros were coming up against. She asked, "Do you have any ideas?"

Belina smiled. "I'm looking forward to talking to him when he wakes up. I want him to let me know what happened on the ground after I was knocked out." She turned to look at the nurse who was tapping her feet against the deck.

"I would prefer if you came with us aboard the Death's Head. Just in case we run into trouble. We're going to be leaving soon."

The CMO shook her head as she directed the nurses to move Tavaryn and the Admiral out of the room. "Your leaving now. I expect we'll have the medbay repaired in a few days.

Belina muttered something under her breath as they took her out into the corridors. "I think Onashi is right about her."

Brig

"So you decided to surrender? I thought your kind prefer death."

The sith chuckled. "Not all of us will fight to the death. I much prefer living instead of death by blaster or lightsaber. If I had continued fighting, there is no chance I would have survived."

Station

Yes little one. One of them is ours. His name is Valek. We are coming. Don't be afraid.

The child nodded her head and continued to watch the group assembled in front of her. One of the Dark Jedi was looking directly at her.

"Do you have any ideas?"

"I was thinking that we could try and take them by surprise or we could try and knock them out with grenades."

Xandros opened his vest and he smiled as he reached for one of the small number of grenades that he had. "I think either a concussion grenade or a flash grenade will do the trick."

Varith watched through the viewports as the stars returned to their normal state. He could feel his daughter aboard the station in front of them and fora a brief second he could feel the presence of something familiar on the station...but he dismissed it.

His eyes widened in alarm as what looked like a light freighter seemingly appeared out of nowhere and he almost hit it.

There is a presence aboard that freighter...something familiar.

Station

I was thinking that we could try and take them by surprise or we could try and knock them out with grenades.

Jun-la considered the idea. She then said, "If you have flash bangs, we could stun them and then launch an attack. We would give back up for Valek. Priority is the child though."

Ebon Hawk

Andros was busy maintaining the Ebon Hawk in orbit near the station. He needed to be ready for when his master gave the call. It was then he picked up a ship or rather a shuttle sized craft. He scanned it and he didn't like what he picked up. He called back, "Jedi Alriana I got a Sith shuttle on approach."

En route to Shuttle Bay

Belina looked around the damaged corridors of the Ackbar and sighed heavily. She had requested the Ackbar as her flagship when she had first become an Admiral. The ship had been scheduled to be decomissioned when she had first seen it. It had been in bad shape but Belina had been optamistic that it could be repaired. Despite the offers of better, newer ships she had still stuck by the Ackbar and turned it into the flagship of the Republic Fleet and later, the Resistance Flagship.

"As soon as we're done here I plan on taking the Ackbar to a nice drydock so she can get fully repaired. I feel bad for this ship, it seems shes been taking a constant beating since Coruscant fell."

Belina ran a hand alongside the wall as she was pushed along towards the shuttle bay with Onashi behind her. "My crew and I put alot of work into this ship, and all it takes is one battle to nearly destroy all that we worked for."

"I'll agree with that ma'am."

Belina muttered under her breath as they finally arrived at the shuttle bay and they were ushered into the shuttle bay.

She turned to look at one of the crewmembers who was nearby. "Tell Garja that I was all department heads ready for a meeting when I get back. I'll try to give you some advance warning before I get back."

Brig

"So you prefer to save your skin?"

"If you prefer to say it that way then yes, I would prefer to save my own skin. I expect I'll live a longer life as a POW then as a Sith apprentice. Besides, I would much rather not have to look over my back all the time in case one of my fellow sith attempted to kill me."

Station

"If you have flash bangs, we could stun them and then launch an attack. We would give back up for Valek. Priority is the child though."

"Understood." Xandros said as he pulled out a flash bang. "Ready on your command."

Ebon Hawk

"Jedi Alriana I got a Sith shuttle on approach."

Alriana paused for a moment on the gun turrent she was on and a horrified expression appeared on her face. It's that Cathar dark jedi again! How did he find his way here?!

"We have a situation." She turned and looked at Kalla. "This isn't good. I think I know who is piloting that shuttle and if I'm right we need to capture it or stop it from reaching the station."

She turned the guns towards the shuttle and began firing at the engines only to see a shield appeared.

"Stop it at all costs!"

Sith Shuttle

Varith felt the shuttle shake as it's shields continued to absorb the quadlasers hitting it. Now that he had had time to think he was able to recognize the force signature aboard the freighter.

It's that Jedi from the Ackbar...Is it possible they got my message? That they are here to rescue my daughter?

He opened up an open comn channel so that hopefully the freighter would hear his transmission. "I mean you no harm. All I wish is to do is dock with the station."

Brig

Not all of us will fight to the death. I much prefer living instead of death by blaster or lightsaber. If I had continued fighting, there is no chance I would have survived.

"That's unusual. Most Sith we've captured or subdued committed suicide almost immediately." Komad commented. "And yet here you are being interrogated. It doesn't add up."

Ebon Hawk

"Jedi Alriana I got a Sith shuttle on approach."

"I've got a lock on it. Just say the word." Kalla called out from her turret.

((Sorry. The guitar and KOTOR modding come first.))

Valek parried another blow from the Dark Jedi, slashing at his leg with his vibrosword.

"What the hell is a Dark Jedi doing here?", Valek asked, dodging an overhand strike.

"Do you really think the Sith would trust a group of pirates to capture a force-sensitive child?", he shot back, knocking Valek's vibrosword out of his hands.

"Enough of this.", he muttered.

He lunged at Valek before he could ignite his lightsaber, but as he slashed at his chest, his lightsaber shorted out.

Damn cortosis., the Dark Jedi thought to himself.

Valek punched him in the face, followed by a series of quick jabs that kept him off-balance. Valek ignited his lightsaber, and as he was about to strike, the Dark Jedi grabbed his arm and twisted it, pulling at it to knock him to the ground. Pinning him on the ground with his knee, he wrenched the lightsaber from his grasp. Turning Valek over, he prepared to drive it into his neck.

He punched the lightsaber out of his hands, and used the distraction to move his body to kick him in the face. As he grabbed his lightsaber, the Dark Jedi landed a blow to his head, knocking him out.

Putting his own lightsaber back on his belt, the Dark Jedi rushed to the area where the child was.

Enroute to Shuttle

My crew and I put alot of work into this ship, and all it takes is one battle to nearly destroy all that we worked for.

Tavaryn frowned a bit and blinked as the lights and images came into focus. He found that he was staring at the ceiling and it was moving. It didn't take long for him to process that he was on a stretcher. He heard Belina and commented, "The Ackbar is tough. She won't go without a fight like some admirals I know."

Ackbar Brig

And yet here you are being interrogated. It doesn't add up.

Scatty looked at Komad. "I agree Master Jedi. Most Sith generally don't go for interrogation." She looked at the prisoner with a wary eye and held her weapon at the ready. The others were ready too with the exception of the sergeant since he was with the LT.

Ebon Hawk

Stop it at all costs!

Andros heard the comm and adjusted the ship to provide maximum firing range for the quadlasers. He knew it needed a soft and gentle touch on the adjustments and he knew the Hawk was sensitive on the gears. She liked things a certain way and could get temperamental if pushed the wrong way. "Making adjustments. Go easy on the lasers sis. Ebony here gets a bit temperamental."

I mean you no harm. All I wish is to do is dock with the station.

Andros heard the transmission and relayed, "Jedi Alriana halt fire. I got a transmission. The shuttle is waving the white flag."

Station

Ready on your command.

Jun-la nodded. "Lob them now." She held her lightsaber at the ready with a finger on the activation. She started forward behind Xandros to provide cover and a slight element of surprise.

Over the comm she said, "Valek, we have more heading in your direction on your six. We're on our way."

Shuttle

"The Ackbar is tough. She won't go without a fight like some admirals I know."

Belina turned to look at Tavaryn. "Glad to see that your awake Onashi. And just so you know, I'm starting to think I know why you dislike our esteemed CMO so much."

She grinned at Tavaryn. "You saved my life and that means that I owe you big time. "If theres anything I can do for you...or if there is there is a certain CMO that you might want transfered just let me know."

She smiled again just to let him know that last part was a joke.

Ackbar Brig

"I agree Master Jedi. Most Sith generally don't go for interrogation."

The sith sighed heavily a small smug smile appeared on his face. "And they say that we of the sith are paranoid...I will resist your interrogation with all my abilities and I will most likely succede. But to put it simply I don't wish to die at either the hands of the Imperials or the Sith Empire."

He looked at the assembled group. "Perhaps a show of good faith is in order: The sith who was working with me earlier has a minature tracking device implanted in his body. In the event that he failed to kill the Admiral it is set to active once it can no longer read any of his life signs."

"I also have a tracking device implanted in my body in my right leg but it has not been activated yet. If I were you, I would suggest either vaporizing his body or blocking the signal somehow."

The sith was about to say more when his eyes widened as a sharp pain shot through his body. The pain was coming from his right leg.

"No..." He whispered. He turned to the group. "It...appears that I underestimated my fellow sith." He said quietly as the pain continued to spread through his body. It was getting worse. "It looks as if they have been monitoring me through the tracker."

The sith suddenly shouted in pain and hit the floor with a thud. His body began shaking violently.

Ebon Hawk

"Jedi Alriana halt fire. I got a transmission. The shuttle is waving the white flag."

Alriana's eyes narrowed. "Very well, but I'm keeping a targeting lock on it at all times. I recognize the force signature of the one piloting it and I've had the displeasure of running into him before."

Sith Shuttle

Docking bay

Varith could feel hostile presences approaching him at the docking bay and he knew that they were going to do one of two things: Vent the docking bay and kill him by sucking the air out.

Or they would try the direct approach and simply try to blast him.

He ignited his lightsaber just as a group of pirates came around the corner and began blasting.

"Big mistake." He said as he began to deflect the bolts back at them and closed the distance between the pirates and himself.

Station

"Lob them now."

Xandros threw the flash bangs and prepared to fight. It's been too long since I've fought a dark jedi. Hope I still have the skills. He thought as he heard a loud thud as something hit the floor.

Shuttle

Glad to see that your awake Onashi. And just so you know, I'm starting to think I know why you dislike our esteemed CMO so much.

Tavaryn gave a slight roll of his eyes as he stared upwards. His head was pounding and he was getting that antsy feeling. It was like when he sensed she was in trouble. He managed to reply, "I don't dislike her as a person. I dislike her beside manner."

If theres anything I can do for you...or if there is there is a certain CMO that you might want transfered just let me know.

Tavaryn gave a slight chuckle and closed his eyes in thought. He was worried about Alriana and while it was taken as a joke, his siblings took it seriously on a deeper level. They all knew what it was like to lose someone. His brother and sister had scanty memories of their mother and his brother had memories of their father. The rest came from stories. His worry for Alriana was also for the life that was growing inside of her. He replied, "Something I'd like to discuss when we're both on our feet and back to heckling each other."

Closing his eyes, he focused and reached out, Are you all right moi chroi?

Ackbar Brig

It looks as if they have been monitoring me through the tracker.

Scatty noticed the change and called into her comm, "This is Alpha 2-0 we have a medical emergency in the brig. Request immediate assistance over."

She turned to Komad and asked, "Is there anything you can do?"

Ebon Hawk

Very well, but I'm keeping a targeting lock on it at all times. I recognize the force signature of the one piloting it and I've had the displeasure of running into him before.

Andros raised his brow, "I could ask for details but I think that is an issue for another time."

He keyed into the comm and said, "Sith vessel, we will not fire."

Station

Jun-la waited while Xandros lobbed the grenades. She ignited her blade when she felt a presence that was familiar. She had felt it back on Avalon and it had left its marks on a few individuals. Her breath hitched a bit as she held onto Xandros' shoulder. "It can't be. I thought he disappeared..."

****

It was easy to hide within the Force. Few could actually do it. It made it easy to track the child and he was surprised that Varith kept her hidden for so long. He also detected familiar presences nearby. It was a treat. "An old adversary has returned. How delightful."

((I decided to add a twist and bring back Tyrannus again since no one really killed him but he might be interested in a certain Jedi Tavaryn is fond of))

Death's Head Docking Bay

Resistance Shuttle

"I don't dislike her as a person. I dislike her beside manner."

Belina let out a chuckle. "And here I thought you didn't like her. Well, she wouldn't be aboard the Ackbar if she wasn't the best there is. I can talk to her about her bedside manners though."

"Something I'd like to discuss when we're both on our feet and back to heckling each other."

"You got it." Belina said as the shuttle landed in the Death's Head shuttle bay. She winced as the soothing lights of the shuttle were replaced by the lights from the shuttle bay as the back of the shuttle opened. She looked up and saw four men each of them wearing an imperial medic's uniform run into the shuttle.

Belina looked up again and saw an honor guard of stormtroopers forming up with Grand Admiral Velerc at the front.

The Grand Admiral looked at Tavaryn with an expression that Belina couldn't read on his face.

"I've been informed by the Ackbar what nearly happened to my daughter. I take it that you are the one who saved her from the sith assassins."

Belina looked at her father and silently prayed that he wasn't going to say something stupid.

The Grand Admiral extended his hand, inviting Tavaryn to shake it. "This incident...has gotten me thinking." He said as he looked over at Belina. "First off, Let me know if there is anything you ever need. You saved my daughter's life and I don't know how I can repay you."

He looked at Belina. "I would like to talk to you once you feel better."

Ackbar Medbay

"This is Alpha 2-0 we have a medical emergency in the brig. Request immediate assistance over."

Th CMO looked over a team that was about to be dispatched to the mess hall. "Scratch that, get the brig as quick as you can! Move!"

The three medical personal nodded and ran out the door towards the brig.

Docking Bay

Station

Varith heard the message echoing through the docking bay just as he cut down the last of the pirate forces that had attacked him. He began to focus the force and reached out...and sensed a dark presence, much darker than the other sith.

This isn't good. he thought as another group of pirates came running around a corridor. Every second I spend fighting the pirates is another second that I could be using to get closer to my child. At this rate, I won't reach her in time.

Station

"It can't be. I thought he disappeared..."

Xandros felt Jun-la's hands on his shoulder even as he himself felt a dark presence...a very dark presence. "I'm going to assume that you know who this is?" He asked quietly.

Ebon Hawk

Alriana was still tracking the sith shuttle with the gun turrents but hadn't fired yet. She was torn, on one hand she wanted to rescue this child, she could feel the fear.

But on the other hand...what if she was hurt aboard the station? What would Tavaryn say if she risked her life and their child's life?

Are you all right moi chroi?

I can't decide what to do...she sent back. I want to go aboard the station to help resuce this child...but at the same time I'm terrified that something might happen to our baby.
