Himerus Posted August 29, 2012 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I have installed it with the installer from mixnmojo and I have installed the update, but it just won't work. It installed with no problems, but when I try to play I just get a black screen during the "movie" in the beginning and when I get to the game none of the controls work. I've tried to start it in different screenresolutions, with both OpenGL and Direct3D and with both 16 and 32 bit colour but still no sigar... Running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Mine ususally stops working right up until Monkey Kombat... when I snap the disc in half. I see you said you are running a 64-bit version of Windows. Have you tried this fixed installer: http://quick.mixnmojo.com/software/escape-from-monkey-island-setup I assume you were trying to launch the game with this: http://quick.mixnmojo.com/software/emi-launcher Also, try to run it in windowed-mode with that second link.
