Well here is just a guess, but maybe since we see Yoda with the younglings in Episode 2 maybe when Obi-wan was a youngling Yoda helped train him.

Yeah. That's most likely the explenation.Mabye younglings go through basic traning through him and then get trained by another master who will serve also as an example of the jedi knight.Thank's mate.:)

This scene was made purposely to explain that:

I find it hard to believe that Yoda is a kindergarten teacher. Lucas has demoted a great Jedi to a kindergarten teacher. I watched all the movies, but, that scene him "working" with the kids. Is there anyone else there to dose jobs?

It just doesn't work for me. I guess someone told Lucas about that hiccup after the Episode I, so he was trying to patch everything up.

He's one of the Jedi who instructs Younglings.

No, he didn't.

Of course. Do you think those are the only Younglings in the whole Order?

Or, you know, he actually trained Jedi for 800 years.

Plus, surely it would make sense to have the best Jedi train those new to the order, so they can be sure their masters aren't giving them wrong ideas (like C'Baoth teaching Jinzler in Outbound Flight, or C'Baoth teaching Luke in the original Thrawn Trilogy)?
