There's plenty that you don't hear ingame. As I said in the article you'd have to skip rooms to check if speech plays anywhere else but I don't think they do.

 

Did anyone else try it or indeed try the windex stuff?

I got the SPUTM executable to run regular MI2, but this accomplished almost nothing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would guess Tamlynn Niglio. In the Article Aric says "we selected the Rapp Scalion resurrection scene to record. We took the game scripts and made a list of all of the lines of dialog, and Tamlynn set about recording and editing these."

There are some interesting and funny stuff. 

 

I haven't listened to everything yet, but for example the 189.wav to 258.wav does indeed feature a woman voice. My low level of English does not allow me to guess which moment of the game it is nevertheless.

And I feel like there's a different second female voice (131.wav, 132.wav) but I'm not really sure.

Yep. 252 is her telling Guybrush not to bother her guests on his way out.

1 to 4 is the opening scene with Bart & Fink (or a small part of it)

5 to 27 is Guybrush walking around the graveyard on Scab (reading inscriptions)  - 17 to 21 are the same line for some reason

28 to 92 is the scene with Rap Scallion (29 is funny)

93 to 261 is the scene where Guybrush meets Elaine again in her home on Booty.

If you have a way of contacting Aric, I don't suppose he has access to the tools that are mentioned in the SCUMM tutorial PDF he shared? I've started reading the manual and it's absolutely fascinating. I'd love to see the demo rooms (even just a video), so I could appreciate the things the tutorial talks about. In fact, I'd LOVE to have those old tools so I could got through the tutorial myself!
