Radogol Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Turns out, guy posted two unfinished Full Throttle 2 cutscenes back in January and no one noticed 😮  Spoilers for a cancelled game  Intro: Cutscene:    6 4 3
KestrelPi Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Haha, great find but I already hate it. The way that the end of FT dealt with Ben and Mo's relationship was perfect - yeah, there's a world where those two might have worked together but they missed their chance. Retreading that and turning it into a potential romance cheapens what the end of that game does. FT showed me at 13Â that it's fine, actually if the hero doesn't 'get the girl', that sometimes it's actually more interesting if he doesn't. 1 1
madmardi Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Very cool! Definitely brings me back... regardless of what you thought of the screenshots/direction, it still makes me sad that FT2 and S&M were announced... and then sequently canceled. 😥
Remi Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The part where Ben started strangling Mo was a bold design choice. 2

Scummbuddy Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I can't believe they went with Ben having an actual talking Polecat as a tagalong sidekick. I mean, come on!Â
Jake Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 These are clearly deeply early, they look like layout passes bounced straight out of Maya (3D animation program) as a playblast preview. 1
Lagomorph01 Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) First of all, what a great find! Â But these cutscenes actually underline the fact that I'm so glad they cancelled this. I don't like the designs, I hate the direction they were going with this, (I agree 100% with @KestrelPi on the Ben and Moe dynamic), and Ben's voice is truly grating. While he sounds more like Roy Conrad here than in the announcement trailer, the delivery is way too flat, there's no emotion in it. Roy Conrad was able to sound tough, cool and still emote in the little space that left him. Some forms of media are better left without a sequel. Â Btw, does anyone else think Ben kinda looks like Popeye here? Edited June 27, 2022 by Lagomorph01
Toymafia88 Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) Man... i really hope we can get some leaks on Sam & Max Freelance Police. Â Especially considering how far along in development it was. Edited June 27, 2022 by Toymafia88

Coming right up! Although those screens were posted three years ago, so I would assume they are known...?       This is the source: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OyanLg There's also some stuff from RTX Red Rock, a couple of Star Wars games and Infernal Machine.  3 2
Udvarnoky Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Yeah, those come from the online portfolio of Karen Purdy, an artist who I believe built environments for the game as well as Telltale's first season. We made some educated guesses about what their in-game context was in the FP article. 1
Udvarnoky Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Didn't think this quite needed a news post, but the same YouTube account also uploaded this clip last year: Â Â 1
