Loom CD-Rom Version Sound Problem

Hi!

I have a problem:

After playing Loom CD Version for a while (to be exactly: as soon as the council turned into swans) the voices skip or just disapear for a while and then they come back. Sometimes they are way out of sync.

I tried Slo`mo but it didnt help.

Please help me out on this!

Thanks

Casa

Right:

i dont have Loom cd version.

Some things u can try:

Download VDMSound http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/download/index.html

Run it with that.

Run it with a command line

Download my package, LEC quick and easy http://www.mixnmojo.com/lec_qae_1.zip

Have a look at the .bat files in that (in wordpad) and try copying the syntax of say Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and see if that fixes it.

If you do get a working bat file or command line to run it, tell me.

That won't fix it, but I know how to solve that prob. Go to My Computer -> Press the right button over your cd-rom letter (usually d: or e:) and click on Properties. Choose the Hardware tab. Select your CD-ROm and press the properties button. Uncheck "Enable digital CD Audio for this CD-ROM device" on the properties tab. That should do it.

Ive since acquired Loomcd:D

That fix doesnt do anything for me, but it might work for cassa.

My prefered fix (as for monkey1cd) is to make a cd image of the cd in your favourite cd-r package, then mount it in Daemon Tools and play it from there.

That way all the slowdowns and horrible XP cd audio access are eliminated.

Ive also heard that using Nero drivespeed (freeware) and setting a drive to 2x or a similar low speed will fix the xp cd access, but again this didnt do anything for me.

Oh well, its all here for posterity now anyway in case anyone needs it:)
