i dont mean a jedi duel but just fighting, there are tracers down there so someone is shooting at someone else...

I didn't see any tracers...? I think they are other stormtroopers being alerted to your presence and running to help.

[EDIT]: Oh yeah, did anyone else notice at 0:58 in the warehouse that there is an automatic turret on the floor shooting at the stormtroopers?

p.s. STORMHAMMER! I haven't gotten my chocalate medallion yet... I'm hungry... :(

[EDIT2]: If anyone is still giving out the scans? broode@start.com.au . Thanks! :)

Hmm... you're right. Guess I didn't look hard enough. Well, there are a number of reasons why this could be the case.

1. There is an AI 'buddy' down there, but i dont think someone who is meant to be intelligent to follow you through the level will be 3 storeys below you.

2. Its that 'break into a prison level' with rebel troops on your side.

3. Theres an automatic turret down there, like at 0:58 in the video.

I dunno.

I finally read the review last night and WOW......we learn alot, and I mean alot of new information.....as for the bad points, well it was the pre-beta and alot of the points were stupid anyway. The only point I agreed with that there arent enough enemy skins.......but other than that the game is sounding better all the time :D

i noticed that turret thing, but it fired yellow tracers / bullets if i remember correctly, these seem to be red... maybe there are different varieties? or some kind of AI buddy is helping yo...

Maybe its Jan and shes off ot do her part of whatever the mission is, not necessarily following you, maybe you both split up to do something...

Those are troop co-ordinators??! Weird!

Sigh. PCG reviewing such an early version of the game as if it was the final product is pretty annoying, really. I think they should have done a several page preview; they have done that before shportly before a game comes out.

anyone have a place where i can actually download this thing. i have a decent connection and i could probly download the full video, as long as the source isn't slow.

So, yeah...anyone have it? you can email me (don't email the VIDEO to me, just a URL :) (syko@binarynirvana.com) or contact me on AIM (SykoSoft). Ok, I'm done. I'll just sit here and wait for replies now :)

It could very well be that that base you see "From JK" (or MotS) is a typical example of an Imperial installation, and so it would be logical that there would be more than one like it in the galaxy.

Or, it could be you were somehow revisiting the same locale (but I doubt it).

As to mouse droids, as far as I can remember, the only time we have seen them in the SW films is onboard the death star.

In Dark Forces 1 (the only SW game thus far that I recall having mouse droids), there are dozens of them throughout the game, in various places (they were destroyed in one hit and left a battery behind).

I'm not sure really what their purpose is, maybe theforce.net or starwars.com has an explanation. In the movies, it seems the only purpose they serve is to run away when Chewbacca growls at them.

Well it looks like the PC Gamer UK edition brought alot of new members to this board from the UK and surrounding areas, also the trailer form Lucasarts didn't hurt either. This board is going to absolutely explode when the game hits. I hope they fix the forum crashes before that happens, wouldn't want to miss an ounce of info then.

I think they have, now - the forums are lightning-fast compared with what they were like before Aristotle posted that announcement...

BTW - Thanks for fixing the forums, Aristotle! they're a lot faster to load now (on 56K) than they have been for a while, and no "Too many users" warnings, either :D

First I'd just like to say how cool I think it is for the people on this forum to share like that, ::thumbs up:: And secondly I'd like to voice my concerns about that video. First off, I think that the screaming noise is a bit annoying. Secondly, the light saber goes right through a box when Kyle throws it and my biggest complaint is that the enemy flys back 30 feet when you hit them with a light saber. What's the deal with that? Shouldn't they just be split in half? And now, I'll give voice to my fear. I'm terrified that the lightsaber controls will be too easy. Too hack and slash like Rune. (Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Rune but there really wasn't very many ways to hit someone with your sword/axe/whatever) What I hope to see is a variety of attacks that depend upon which way your character is looking/moving. Like if your walking forward and bump the mouse up it'll do a different attack than walking forward and bumping the mouse down. (Of course, even bumping the mouse could screw someones view up if they're in first person mode) I'm also worried that the enemies shots will bounce back at them with no effort from the player. Anywhoo the complaints I had aren't anything too serious and the fear is just a fear. I still intend to buy this game but heres hoping.
