But we have another friend who has a 56k modem, and he cannot find our games in local or on the "internet"...this is really making me mad because we want him to play. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS! Roger Posted May 24, 2002 Share Posted May 24, 2002 Don't be mad, it's only a game The reason you and your cable friend can see eachother local is because you on the same cable network. Your dailup modem friend is on a dailup network, that doesn't connect directly with the cable network. Try to figure out what the IP address is of the person who's hosting the game. If you have that, give it to the dailup modem person and let him type in the console: connect ipaddress ie: connect 123.445.11.22 Or let the dailup person search under internet games instead of local games hope this helps.
