K_Kinnison Posted July 30, 2002 Share Posted July 30, 2002 I allways enjoy the 3rd party maps, there are some great ones out there. only prob is I don't no what maps are the popular ones, and i also don't know of any servers that regularly use them someone mind helping out a bit? that way i dont have to wait an hour for the server to download it to me.. if it even allows it. Floydian Posted July 30, 2002 Share Posted July 30, 2002 When I see a map that I don't have, I write down the title of it, then after I'm finished playing for the night, I scour the following sites for the maps: http://www.jk2files.com http://www.jediknightii.net http://www.massassi.net http://www.jedi-outcast.com I've been able to find 90% of the ones I've seen. It's kind of a gamble, you may download maps that servers are not using...on the other hand, you may be a step ahead of everyone else by downloading a newer map. Some of the maps I've seen lately, that you'll might consider downloading are: countryroads duel_chamber ewok_village matrix_subway matrix_dojo yavin_hanger duel_bunker_zero duel_gh duel_sandcrawler palace Most of these are duel maps, the one's I care about most. K_Kinnison Posted August 1, 2002 Author Share Posted August 1, 2002 but what about servers? servers that play 3rd party maps? frankly, if i find a server with a 3rd party map i usually avoid it since i want to paly ad not download i know where to find them... but finding the servers that use them in their rotation, is the hard part maybe someone should put them all in an "expansion pack" and advertise them to servers.
