garak88 Posted August 17, 2002 Share Posted August 17, 2002 Nice looking model, I have to say. On whether or not to bother with making it so the mouth can move, personally I would love to see that. I play almost exclusively single-player, and it looks so much better when the models move their mouths to the words they say. Nonetheless, the model is fantastic, great job. And as for the SP variant, absolutely. I'd definately want to replace Katarn with this model. His lips are too far away from his nose. I would do it for my own use myself if you didnt but there are sometimes shader problems I think 10 btw, although I think this is the most realistic face model Ive seen for JK2 anyway! I've been remodeling some of the sections that I'm not really happy with - starting with the nose and eyes. I might also give him an interior to his mouth while I'm at it, but I'm still debating that one. I think that the main thing that looks good on shot 10 was that the proportion was good from the front - the problem with that version was that it looked downright awful from any other angle than that one. mariners2001 Posted August 18, 2002 Share Posted August 18, 2002 tercero, your model looks nearly perfect. yeah, i'd rather his face be more like your anakin14 picture but it doesn't really matter. what i'm trying to say is don't overdo the face because it looks fine the way it is. I'd start worrying more about other things like an animated braid and clothes. but...if you want to continue editing the face I'd the say the problem is within the eyes....but I'm not quite sure how so. You might want to rework the nose a bit(it still looks fat) and his lower lip is too wide. The headshape is nearly dead on. I am observing however that in the picture, he has a little less forehead. Try moving his ears, eyes, nose and mouth up simultaneously, while moving the chin up slightly. Closely observe the shading under his lower lip, it is further away(in the pic) and curves opposite of how you have it. My main point with the model is that the eyebrows do not look to accurate.
