I determine death (very unlikely). I do not have control of your characters, however, and you don't have control of anyone elses'. This is my first adventure on this site, so hang in there if I am going nuts! _______________________________________________ Location: Katrassi Spaceport, Ord Katrassi Klai Finn sits in his apartment on the outskirts of the spaceport, Ord Katrassi. Busy at work on a PC with a glass of Juri Juice in hand, the pale green skinned fellow finally gets a few of his Bothan buddies to hack the holonet to relay a message on Rebel sites. To anyone seeking employment. Mission to Ord Katrassi. Strike team will infiltrate kingpin Takara's stronghold and assassinate Takara. I will go after his head Lt. Abron Mar. Heavily guarded. Weak security system. Exotic execution beasts known to be lurking in caves around. Coordinates to main spaceport are 667N :990E. Katrassi Spaceport. Meet me at the Pair-a-Dice Hotel and Lounge. He whispers something, points to Drey and Obi Bond, and then tends more drinks. Klai walks up to them and says,"Follow me." He leads them to a casino with various games, Sabacc, Dejarikk, a few dice games, Pod/ swoop racing hologames, and many more. Taking the two to a private booth, he explains to them, "By now, the story I tell you is all over the holonet, so we must act fast. I am Klai Finn, former Lt. for a local crime boss named Takara. To cut a long story short, my brother knew I'd soon replace him so he set me up and forced me off world. I have worked for the Imps for about ten years, but my brother just placed a death mark on my head for 1,000,000 credits. I must take him out, but to do that. I must get into Takara's base." "Its heavily guarded. I could use a pair of Jedi on this one. The only people to ever to escape Takara's wrath were me and some Jedi chick named Mara Jade. If she could do it, you can do it. I have got transportation that will take us to the La Diabla Badlands, the location of the base. We will infiltrate with stealth, cut the security system, and then take the base by force." "If we assassinate Takara, we will be rewarded 1,000,000 credits from Takara's rival, Ka'Pa the Hutt. I'll split the money between you two and another fellow that pledged his support. Any other party members will then get a slice of it as they join. Credits don't interest me. I'm after my brother. Once he's eliminated, my death mark in turn will be as well." The sky is purple, the mountains are steep, carved in the middle of the region is a salty river, poisonous to Katrassi (Klai's species), and the grass is dark green. Klai supplies a pair of fusion cutters and hands one to ckcsaber. "I assume you have sabers to cut your way through door? If not, just tell me you need a cutter. Our primary objective is to knock out the security system. We'll do that together. I know the lay of the base. If we're careful we shouldn't encounter much resistance." "After the security system is knocked out, we'll split up. If you guys want that money, you'll have to assassinate Takara on your own. He's well guarded by all sorts of assassins and even beasts. I'm going after Abron Mar. He will be alerted of our arrival after the security system is gone." Klai cuts through a rock with the help of ckcsaber. Drey and Obi Bond stand back a ways, watching out for any security patrol. The hole in the cliff is complete. Klai leads with Drey last. They enter caves filled with a creek that smells of manuer. Bones lay around, few with carcass left on them. Klai doesn't cringe, but unholsters his blasters, "It appears the cave we chose is inhabited by an unfriendly fellow. Watch your back as we work our way to the main base, only a few klics out." The four set off, and no more than minutes pass when a cat-like beast appears, mouth filled with blood stained teeth and each paw full of claws. It has gray fur and a spiked tail with venom tipping it. Klai frowned as he raised a blaster at the creature and fired a few useless shots into its abdoman, "Vornskyrs! A whole den, most likely. ckcsaber Posted January 10, 2003 Share Posted January 10, 2003 "Looks like your bro has some anti jedi security systems" shouts ckcsaber. His vibrospear begins its silent hum as it is activated. Setting his spear into a whirl, he cuts of the tail off a leaping vornskyr. The snap hiss of two blades are heard as Bond and Drey deal out death to the vornskyrs. Klai runs forward, blaster firing trying to lead the way. A vornskyr lying in wait crouches in a dark corner, notices ckcsaber. Carefully he pulls out his small D-11 and takes it out. The jedi, still dealing with the vornskyrs, äre still behind. "Lets go" yells ckcsaber. "Klai's heading towards the ëxit of these caves".... He points to it, "We'll bust this down. We should be able to take ouyt this 'evil' quite quickly. We'll take a less traveled path up to security, as in heat ducts and the sort. I'll do that. Once I come back, we should split up." Drey cuts through the wall with ease and lets the others through. Nothing there. Klai leads the way into a small heat vent until they come to a security room. Klai fires a single shot into the two guards' heads who were at the controls. "OK, I'll deactivate the security system. But first, we'll get a good look at the base's layout and the locations of Takara and Abron." They exit the duct. Drey sees that to reach Takara, they must go up five stories to his throne room. Abron will be there as well. Klai smiles, "Easier than I thought. But it looks like there are several blast doors and security patrols along the way. We can take each ceckpoint party by surprise by taking out the camera's and blast door controls. Wahtever evil you sensed may be elsewhere in the base. We shall be wary of your warning." Klai scrambles the code to a different frequency, rendering all doors useless. He then takes out his pistols, and blasts the unit to a heap of twisted metal. After leaving and getting to the first flight of stairs, they find a group of Weequay armed with E-11 blasters guarding the stairwell. Klai opens fire and with Drey deflecting the shots that come close to hitting the party. An alarm sounds. Klai curses through clenched teeth, "They have taken stronger precautions! Doors are still useless, we'd better leave now, the base is swarming with Takara's scum! Not to mention any 'evil' that Takara has here!" With Havoc's help, the guards in that sector are downed. Klai gets up and offers his hand to Havoc, "Klai Finn. I'm here to take out Takara and his Lt. Abron Mar. You're welcome to join us; I'm being rewarded 1,000,000 credits that'll be split amongst all party memebers. You in? Good, let's move out. You can explain your story along the way." I knew about this Mara woman. Skywalker spoke to me about your guys' being trapped here. So I decided to go on a rescue mission to bust you and her out. When I came, the gammoreans took me hostage and threw me in here." *Deflects a few more blaster shots aimed for him.* "I helped to kill off most of the guards while you guys made your escape. Remember?" *Takes out 3 more rodians armed with d-11's.* "I guess I'll have to cut the chit chat and find a way to end this encounter with these guys." I busted outta here years before Mara Jade visited. Klai Finn was killed in the escape. She had no knowledge of his presence, or he may be around yet. I was appointed with the name officially awhile back, by Mon Mothma and some other NRI leaders!" Klai fired the last of his shots into an Ithorian and then left cover of the crates. "Clear! We'll take these steps. Its the main route, heavily guarded, but there is no other way to reach Takara before he can escape!" Klai leads the way, Bond is trailing behind with saber drawn up to deflect any shots from any possible living guards. They reach the next level, enter a hallway that is empty, but soon a cloaked figure enters, two blue-green glowing blades of light in his hands. "Sithspit!" Klai yells, "Hey Drey, this wouldn't happen to be that 'evil' you were talking about?" The mysterious man engages them all, each of the party members manages to evade the "dark man's" attacks. Klai runs away and calls out, "Hold 'em off until I tell you to!" ckcsaber, along with Klai, decides to retreat since he has no Force or saber to help in a battle. He looks to Klai, but Klai produces a thermal detonator to answer any questions the green cloaked man may have. "Get down!" Klai watches his party members take cover behind a pair of crates as he hurls the bomb over to the battle. Flames engulf the area, no one injured. The "dark man" is no where to be seen. Klai frowned, "That's obviously not the last we've seen of him. Come on, I can use the break from that kinda stuff..." They continue on to the next (third of five) level. I was able to sneak out in the chaos. My arrest had been so secret my name was at the bottom of the gaurd's list, by the time they found me missing I was hiding in the ventilation system. I'm here to kill my brother, Takara's top Lt, Abron Mar. He has put a death mark on my head for more money I have. With him dead, I'm home free." They continue through the base, and encounter a hall with no lighting in it. There are dead bodies in the corner, in peices as if by some sort of beast had got to them. "More Vornskyrs? Not likely in the base. Look, no blood. There is something weird going on here. I don't think that guy we ran into back there is working for Takara..." Klai takes out a holocommunicator. A Hutt appears on it, "Why do you summon me? Is Takara dead yet?" "No Ka'pa, we've run into some Jedi guy, it appears he's killed some guards of Takara. Do you know who he is?" The image dies, and a door to the left opens and another group of guards appears. A shot hits Klai, and they drag him away. "Help!" He screams. The door shuts; the remainder of the guards take on the rest of the part. The blast doors that the group have already pass seal, making the only way to go is after Klia and Takara. Obi Bond:"Dislodged his ability to walk, therefore permanently disabling him from any other transportational movement." *Slowly points to the guards throat with his saber.* Obi Bond:"Where have your men taken him?" Guard:"I....I....I don't know!" Obi Bond (speaking in firmer voice):"Where, FOOL?!?!? Guard:"The holding cells. Section D-32." Obi Bond:"Good." *strikes the guard's left arm.* Obi Bond:"Let that be a lesson never to lie to me, even if you don't know me!" *Takes his commlink out from his robes.* Bond:"Drey, Havoc and I going to rescue Klai! The door to section D-32 opens leading into a narrow cave, walls similar as to what the Vornskyr den looked like. It smells of rotting bodies, evidence of a creature lurking around is evident by huge droppings. To big to be a vornskyr's. Drey and ckcsaber continue on through the base to reach Takara and Mar. The third blast door seals behind them as they reach the 4th level. There are guards from both that level and the previous one awaiting them with an E-WEB blast cannon. There is a single crate to use for cover... Still determined to get Klai, Havoc and Obi Bond continue. There is massive confusion ahead. After several minutes of walking, a portion of the cave behind them collapses, blocking off their exit. If that's not enough, a purple Acklay with a guard's body in its mouth appears. Takara's beast tamers are scattering about, screaming. After paralyzing each guard with its claws, the Acklay turns to Bond andd Havoc and charges on its 6 legs...
