I'm a good Architect!! But, I don't know any rendering programs. :(

I can make 3D models in AutoCAD right up there with the best of 'em, but I couldn't render an image to save my life.

I also have tons of sketches done in colored and black pencil as well as marker, but have no scanner. :(

There's a drawing of a "Mech' I did in ballpoint pen that's sittin' right next to me at work, but I've got no way to show it!

Jackal: I like your stuff, man! I hate looking at that kind of design work since I get so many ideas and I'm afraid I'll be tempted to steal them! ;) j/k

Most of my work is in photography (I'm strictly an amateur) but I have a couple of photos that I think have some artistic qualities:

This one I call Soft Lake and I took it after stumbling across it on my way home while hiking in Germany... it had just begun to rain and there was a brief pause in the showers.

This one is along a trail near that same lake, but on a different day... the sky was boring, so I manipulated it a little... hense the slight discoloration around the leaves, but it seems to add to the effect. My only regret is that I didn't use a greater Depth of Field to bring the foreground tree into focus.

I created a wallpaper one day after being bored with what I had.... I did it in PhotoShop and here's the result:

thanks guys.

I like your Tree Path, but i agree the sky makes it look very weird. I suggest you go back again on a beautiful day.

as for the soft lake, the colours are rich enough in my opinion.

I'm gonna get a new camera soon. I'm getting one hell of an old camera. From the 70s, metal box, 45mm, 32mm and 135mm and etc. I'm really getting into photography. I love it. I personnaly think its so important and i have so many ideas which use photography.

but I'm still learning it thought.

I wish I had a scanner.

I have just completed a pencil drawing I call either "Medic!" or "The Battle of St. Lo"

It is an original pic, I used no reference other than GI Joes, Dragon Soldiers, and Ultimate Soldiers for equipment and uniform details.

It is a Sergeant Major from the 29th Infantry Division is craddling a corporal who's legs are missing while holding his Thompson Sub-Machine Gun and calling for a medic. I drew a BAR and helmet from the downed American near a pool of blood and guts (yeah, really gross and I did not get pleasure in drawing it, but it sets the mood)

I drew a pile of rubble next to them, a nicely weathered bombed-out wall behind them complete with missing plaster revealing the brick beneath it and bullet holes in it.

To complete the desc I wrote on it, I need to know on what date the Battle of St. Lo took place...

  • 2 weeks later...

Here's a small update of some work I've done since my last post:

This is a t-shirt and baseball cap which i had to design for something related to my college.

shirt-n-cap.jpg

A project for my History of Art and Design classe. I remove the text. I did this very very quickly (last minute project) and its supposed to reflect the art of a time period we are studying. (art nouveau)

history_ak47.gif

This is a design for a ficticous soft drink can. We have to do a annual report of a company and i called my Corrosive (Corrosif in french). Here's the design. Looks tasty doesn't it :) My initial idea was to have a MilkMan as a logo with the drawing style from the cartoons in the 1950s. However i changed my mind to a child with a gas mask when i came up with the name.

And here is a little politicly driven piece of art I submited to DeviantArt.

imperialism.jpg

NOTE: remember. this thread is about ART. Because i posted someone which has a subject of politics doesnt mean the thread can change subject. you wanna talk about politics, look up an other thread. this one is for art.
