Hannibal Posted May 9, 2003 Posted May 9, 2003 Check your post counts. Some of our post counts may have dropped. If yours did and you want them back post in the help forum. Don't make a new post, add to the one that's already in there. I always lose posts when this happens and I never notice. Someone always has to tell me.
Jedi Apprentice Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 *looks at post count* Lets see, I think I had around 1763. What happens when everyone's count drops?
Pad Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 the admin panel has a nifty little button called "update user´s post counts". if someone pushes it it recount all posts a user (users) has made. for those who signed up after LF merged as one forum, there is no problem. but for those who were at the forums before the merge it has a slight problem. all posts in those seperate forums arent counted when that button is pressed. so when you for example had 2000 posts in those old forums and the update post count button is pressed, those 2000 posts arent counted which resolves in a loss of 2000 in your post count. hope this helps
Jedi Apprentice Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Thanks for the info Pad. *goes to try on is own forums* *realises his forums haven't merged before so it won't do diddily squat* *walks off into the sunset and kicks a rock* What is the point of the pushing the button then?
Darth Simpson Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Let's see. Edit : Looks about right. Can't really remember what I had earlier anyway.
Bob Gnarly Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 it wouldnt affect you anyways Simpson, it only got about the first 2000 users
