If it wasn't for the excellent spelling I'd say predominantly alcohol. :D

Welcome back, Set. :wavey:

Anyhu, my system is primed, set, and ready to kick ass. :)

But I'm still not satisfied with my 3D card and RAM though. :)

Jag borde säga nej

När jag vet du narrar mej

Men som en gummiboll kommer jag tillbaks till dej,

Hey, hey. Welcome back to the forums set, we all been missing you. :D

Mainly looking by. I am in the middle of applying to different art colleges. But swediot, if you had ever heard the legendary swedish-finnish cult song 'som en gummiboll kommer jag tillbaks till dej' by M A Numminen, you would not wonder anymore. A swede with the name 'studsbollen'? I could not detain myself...

It damn well better, I put my Deathmachine together with SWG in mind.

P4 2.26GHz 533 FSB

512 (1066) RamBus Ram

GeForce 4 Ti 4400

Sound Blater Live Xgamer

Two 60 gig maxtors. 7200 RPM's

(Saved up a whole damn 6 month cruise for that pricey bitch but it was worth it. Needed the upgrade.)

Actually I am lying, I built it for Battlefield 1942 too. Next to SW I also love WWII stuff. Maybe they will have a BAR in SWG. Imagine that A Rodian Creature Handler/Carbineer with a pet Rancor and a Browning Automatic Rifle (for those who don't what a BAR is, you need to watch some old WWII movies. It is a nasty SOB.)

The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR-M1918A1/2) Was a .30 Cal light machine gun, put into use in 1918. It was used in WWII and Korea by the US Army and Marines. (Think about it, made in 1918). Was liked because it could "take a lickin and keep on tickin". Basically you could beat it up, and it would still work like a charm. Watch "Saving Private Ryan", there is some references to it there. Also any good WWII movie, you will see them.

FOR BF1942---Yes the Allied, "Assault Specialist" character uses a BAR. Also one of the weapons in Medal of Honor and Day of Defeat. If you have played BF1942, you've used it. It lays the smack down, really good at medium range.

Most heard quote from me in BF1942 while using the BAR-- "You see this, this is my boomstick..."

Uh oh, i feel a big post comin on ;)

Do you guys know if 56k wll do? I hope

Yes but not without serious drawbacks. The good devs have stated that 56k will be supported but will only be playable at normal speed when on at non-peek hours and on a server with few people.

Pentium 4 2GHZ(might upgrade )

Hey JK Luke, that 2ghz is fine! no need to upgrade for awhile. sheesh :p

I don't need a new computer. My RAM, graphics card and memory is more than enough, but my processor is a measly 800 mHz, some 133 below minimum. So that baby will have to be replaced before I can play

Hey set, welcome back. from previous posts I assume you know how to build and upgrade your own computer right? I think the best place to buy comuter parts is http://www.pricewatch.com But... Im sure you knew that already

56k will always be okay, at least for the next couple of years till everything will eventually be geared for cable connections. It is already starting to happen, many more webpages are incorporating flash and what not on their sites. It just takes too long for 56k to see most of the stuff.

I played EQ on a 56k for the longest time and I really didn't have any trouble...yeah lag occasionally, but other than that nothing. My friend who uses cable would always have a problem in East Commons for some reason.

Aslo, DSL is much better than Cable because with DSL you don't share your connection with the rest of your street, therefore you will have a more constant connection than with Cable.
