Homoludens Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 Katharine Hepburn: 1907 - 2003 Katharine Hepburn, the actress whose independent life and strong-willed movie characters made her a role model for generations of women and a beloved heroine to filmgoers for more than 60 years, died today at her home in the Fenwick section of Old Saybrook, Conn. She was 96 and also had a home in Manhattan. So instead of feeling sad about this, lets celebrate her career. But just the few photos and 3-second clips I've seen have been enough to communicate her charm, power, etc. I'm renting The Amazon Queen this week.
