I know that many of you are not from the United States, but today is July 4th and we celebrate our independance from some island in the Atlantic...... j/k Idependance Day for the United States of America is important to many other countries, which ratified their own Declarations of Independance and Constitutions based upon the U.S. models of each. Looking at some of them, one can easily see some of the same language being used. That is one thing that gives me pride as an American, in spite of disagreements some of you have seen me voice (over in the Senate) about our current administration. But this is a happy day, and cause for celebration! I will have no enemies today and if Dubya were to stop by on his way to Crawford, I'd offer him a cold one, and not right between the eyes! Nay! Not this day! For he and I are both Americans on the 4th of July: Independance Day! So join me in celebration, just as I would join you, even if not one of my own countrymen. But then, if your country is free, then you are a countryman to me! My plans... (after I go to bed and sleep a bit <grin>): Cook something on the grill, sit on the porch with an Iced Tea, smoke a $7 cigar, and play frisbee with my Lab. KBell Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 To celebrate the fourth, me and my pops always go to the Movie theatre, watch a good movie ( this year, T3 ) and park right next to the fireworks and watch. It's pretty fun
