Hey no worries. I actually always looked at Bastila as someone who thought if she did a good job with Revan, it would have been a huge ego boost and that would have given her something to brag to the Council about when the "masterhood" thing was brought up. I just never thought others may have looked at it differently or a contradiction like you did.

Then there is Mission who is 14, who actually said that Bastila wasn't much older than her which would be an ideal age for a Padawan since Anakin and Obi-Wan were older than her when they were Padawans in the movies.
