  1. Source BioWare's Dragon Age, an RPG which has been in development since the dawn of time, has just received a website facelift. There's nothing much there but you can take a look for yourself. You know, I've seen video game and film teasers before but a teaser for a site is a new one. Let the speculation begin!
  2. Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Continues Meteoric Rise in Becoming the Latest Online Phenomenon I find it interesting how these press releases have an about section for Lucasfilm instead of LucasArts. In any event, only time will tell as far as BioWare retaining their 1.7 million TOR subscribers or even growing their subscriber base. I know I'm planning on subbing for a year, possibly longer.
  3. Star Wars: The Old Republic Jumps to Light Speed Hmmm.... I'm sure the person that wrote the title for this release wasn't trying to rub it in SWG's face or anything.
  4. December 20, 2011 06:00 AM Eastern Time EA, BioWare and LucasArts Usher in a Force in Online Games as Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Goes Live Today So I'm just a wee bit late in posting this one. I blame it on the fact that on December 20 I was already engrossed with playing this game and couldn't be bothered with paying attention to trivial things like press releases.
  5. Source: Electronic Arts Website One thing is for sure, EA is a lot quicker at posting press releases on their website than LucasArts. LucasArts hasn't posted a press release on their website since the Monkey Island 2 Special Edition announcement back on 2010-03-10.
  6. Why isn't BioWare and LucasArts pondering over whether this should be a console involved game (Xbox 360/PS3) or not? I mean, if they made this game for either/or, particularly Xbox 360, I think it would be one of the greatest (selling) games of all time. Not only would it be the first ever MMORPG for a console system, but it would be Star Wars, the most well-known sci-fi series, let alone entertaiment franchise in general, ever. With it being the first MMORPG game for a console system, it would draw even non-Star Wars (or more like what of them) and Star Wars fans alike. Just the fact its the first EVER MMORPG for a console system would guarantee sales. Isn't this what BioWare and LucasArts wants? Sales? So I can see no risk. It is a guarantee block buster either way, with console systems or without. But putting this on consoles would put this game in the record books. In all honestly it could beat Halo and all its selling records. I would say, putting this on consoles would be well worth it. I can already see about 30 of my friends (some just "known" people) would buy this for both of the above reasons. It being Star Wars. And It being the first MMORPG ever to be on a console system. LucasArts and BioWare could revolutionize games RIGHT NOW. What are your thoughts?
  7. http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=617397&forum=104 Announcement by BioWare...so it's real!!
  8. Source The final update for NWN, 1.69, has been released and is now available for download from BioWare's NWN site. BioWare has also released a new desktop wallpaper to commemorate the end of official support for the role playing giant. The full patch notes can be found here. Highlights include the new creatures, music, (eight) tilesets found in Pirates of the Sword Coast, Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, and Infinite Dungeons. This patch is quite a send-off for the game and though I'm not a fan of NWN, the toolset, the mods, and BioWare's dedication to their community demand respect. /salute

  10. this link was posted over on bioware forums. i was curious can someone tell if it real or a mod. sorry if i broke the rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JT_Cbefn-Q
  11. Has anyone picked this up yet, any hope it can be edited and modified? I haven't seen any threads really talking about this new engine yet and sure would like to see some hope it can be modded. Thanks.
  12. Source Someone has posted the plot which was originally planned for BioWare's Neverwinter Nights. Rob Bartel has confirmed that the document is indeed genuine and is an extract from the game's design document but we have no word yet on the identity of the poster. I haven't read the whole thing yet but the tutorial, at least, sounds better than that obscene 'Hero Academy' we got foisted on us.
