  1. Hey all, my name is Tim Temmerman. I worked at Lucasarts for 10 years up until the Disney acquisition and closure. I was a Designer and Producer on titles like Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb, Star Wars Galaxies, The Old Republic, and Star Wars First Assault. Another fellow Lucasarts teammate, Matt Boland, and I have been working on a new game called Super Roman Conquest. It's a sidescrolling strategy game with 2D sprites in a 3D world, based in the setting of Ancient Rome. (Sorry we couldn't make another Star Wars game ). We just got done with a trailer (with music scored by former Lucas employee Jesse Harlin) and wanted to show you guys: We're hoping to get the game funded through Kickstarter so we can release it next Summer. The art you see is temporary, but we're bringing another Lucas artist on the team to help define the art. Anyway, take a look, and please let us know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks and sorry for the shameless plug! - Tim

  3. Alright here it is, my first thread since unretiring: Since we have wide range of ages represented on this forum, this should be interesting. What was the first Gaming System you played on, and what was your favorite game from that system? Of course having said your initial answer, don't be afraid to discuss all an any classic gaming rigs and the classic games you grew up on. Gaming is big aspect of what makes this forum, and surely we all have fond memories of some of the games and consoles of old. I'm sure you, like me, were influenced by those games and they help mold you into the gamer you are today. So, let's share those gaming memories...

  5. So, I preordered the DSi today, and along with it, I'm picking up several games. Only thing, is I'm completely torn between many, many titles. I want to get Hotel Dusk, but I also really enjoyed the demo of Lock's Quest, so I might get that, too. But... there's also The Dark Spire, a really cool looking old-school RPG, and there's also Moon, a pretty nice looking FPS. And then, there's the Korg DS-10 synthesizer, which also looks like a must-have. So, does anyone have any suggestions for any really great DS games out there?
  6. Just wondering what websites or magazines or friends you all get all your gaming-related news from. Also, why do you use that source? Personally, I like GameSpy because its layout doesn't feel as bloated as some sites (like GameSpot, for example), and it has a nice weekly newsletter that lands in my inbox every week containing links to all the articles posted that week. So how 'bout you?
