http://marvel.com/news/tv/2014/5/27/22585/charlie_cox_is_the_man_without_fear_in_marvels_daredevil I haven't watched Boardwalk Empire (though I've heard nothing but good things), so I can't properly judge this. I'm glad the project is moving ahead and I'm hoping the difference in format will bring an improvement over the disappointing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel already has Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. running, but evidently they've decided not to stop there, and for that, they've turned to Netflix. Together, they will make four series - Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones - which will crossover into a mini-series - Defenders. All on Netflix. I haven't been watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (no real convenient way to do so here at college), but this is very interesting and ambitious of them.

SDCC 2013 came and went recently, and as has become a trend one of the most exciting panels was the Marvel Studios panel. The big announcement was that the sequel to the Avengers will be subtitled Age of Ultron. In addition, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are set to join the Avengers. Personally, I'm excited. Thanos is cool and all, but to me he isn't much of an Avengers villain. Ultron is the quintessential enemy of the Avengers. Marvel also showed off footage from Thor: the Dark World, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and surprisingly Guardians of the Galaxy. GotG seems to be the riskiest film in Phase Two, with a cast lacking in superstars playing some very obscure characters. But I think that if James Gunn can pull it off, it could be the best superhero movie in a while.
