  1. I never got around to playing Grim Fandango until recently. Didn't have any technical problems with the game personally but since many people do, I thought it'd be a cool project to gather most common fixes in one box, make it automated and user friendly. I know there's Residual now, haven't tried it to be honest but it's not even beta yet and seems to be moving like a dead cheetah, so maybe this isn't completely outdated right in the start. Features are listed on the installer's welcome page and launcher info can be found in a txt later so I'm not going to write about it here. The only thing to add is that beside CDs, GrimInstaller can also install from a folder (must be run from a location that contains GRIMDATA folder which contains all required files). If you care to check it out, let me know what you think. Update: ****** GrimInstaller/GrimLauncher is now obsolete. It is recommended that you use ResidualVM to play Grim Fandango. There is no need to install the game, but you can use GrimCopy utility to setup game files for Residual. 2. Hi, I'm Alebrush, a greatest fan of Monkey Island. For several days I´ve been working on a patch to fix the hairstyle on Guybrush in The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition. If you want to see some of the work I've been doing, you can enter the following address: http://www.facebook.com/monkeyislandhairpatch The patch is completed and it contains the totality of Guybrush's animations and close-ups. It also has an unistaller to return the game to it's original form. Here's the new link. File name: GuybrushHairPatch_SE_1.5.zip File size: 11.09 MB I hope you like it and can enjoy it as much as i did. Thanks to Quick & Easy Software
  3. KoTOR-ors, Howdy! I suspect this question has been asked before, and I apologize if it's an old one, but it's a question that many Google searches haven't turned up answers newer than half a year old. I played the PC version a long time ago, 5+ years, and recently rented KoTOR on the 360 through Blockbuster's rent by mail program. This was after trying my old copy on the PC and discovering it didn't work so well anymore after two new PCs at all, and doing some research and discovering I'd need some serious attention. In any event I'm about 9hrs into the Xbox version and not interested in switching back to the PC version, so please don't recommend that-heh. Anyway, my question is this: what I've learned is that apparently XBox no longer offers support for downloading either the Yavin DLC or patches on the 360. Is that correct? If that's true, how would I go about getting most importantly the patch, because there are a few problems - the sound effects drop out on occasion, cut scenes and voice acting are choppy sometimes. If it's possible at all, that is. Thanks in advance for any information y'all can offer.
  4. Hello there! Sorry to bother you, but I think as a fellow Tim Schafer fans you might be concerned with this. Brutal Legend is a great game, made real by the tremendous effort of many great people — developers, artists and publishers. Unfortunately the release of 1.2 patch had introduced a bug critical enough to make the game unplayable for a significant portion of PS3 users, known as the "stuck at the loading screen" bug. This petition was created to address this issue. The detailed description of this and a few other bugs can be seen in the petition itself. If you think that this is important, please show your support by signing the petition below. http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/patchbrutallegendps3
  5. Ok, I have had SWG for a while now and yes it has had its ups and downs in the tech department but i have recently moved to NZ and now, while trying to download the latest patch, It is waaaaaaaay too slow. It used to take 20-30 mins at a MAXIMUM back in Britain. Any ideas?
  6. Ok, first of all, I don't actually have the game yet, I've only just ordered it (4-14 days! Keep your fingers crossed for for me that it come in four...or less) This is just a problem I noticed in the demo, so I figured I'd get some council on it now so I'd be prepared once I got the game. Now, on to the problrm, you see when the opening for the demo comes on, it doesn't play it just show the first second of it or so, stretched into four sgments containg the lines of solid color for the game basically it looks like someone took the cinematics(/ingame CGI effects) stretched them out and put them through a paper shredder. I'm already aware of the patch and improved launcher, so if it's corrected by those let me know. However if this is some unique problem that I have, I'd really appreciate some advice. I'm running Windows XP.
