  1. https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/3q2mpm/hi_im_dan_borth_of_red_fly_studio_the_creators_of/ Now though, with Star Wars: Battlefront on the cusp of release, Red Fly is looking to resurrect the game, with plans to pitch it to current Star Wars games license holder EA. In an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Red Fly's Dan Borth said "We are currently working on a full next gen demo of all things Maul to show to the powers that be. It's been a lot of work on our off time." "We have been burning a candle for this game since it was killed in hopes we can get it turned back on again," Borth added. "IF that is to happen we need to approach EA with a demo that will impress them. I think we have that or are close to it. Still, it is completely not up to us." I really hope this game gets produced, but who knows what will happen. "Post #WeWantMaul on EA and Disney's twitter and social media outlets - let them hear you! With your support we can get the attention this needs to become a reality!" (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) #WeWantMaul

  3. Star Wars knights of the old republic was an amazing game beginning to the very end. In my opinion I think they should upgrade the game I mean like add better graphics with all of the new technology we have today. I'm just saying why not make a game that was amazing even more amazing what do you guys think about this?
  4. Hi everyone, I have the Star Wars. Knights of the Old Repulic 1 and 2. The 1st works fine, with no crashes. But the 2nd part (The Sith Lords) crashes every time after I choose my character and then click on Play. I hear the alarm sound, then the game crashes. I tried combatibility changes (Windwos 7, Vista, XP 2-3, but it does not solve the problem. I also tried the windowed mode but then the gmae still does not work. And I also disabled movies using the notepad. I have 800x600 resolitions set. My computer's default is 1440x900 I have Windwows 7. And an Intel GMA driver I would appreciate if you can help me solving the crash. I rellay liket the Part one, and of course, i would really like to play the Sith Lords, too.
  5. Now that Disney chief Bob Iger has confirmed that we will get Star Wars filmsoutside of the main episodes, which center on the Skywalker family, let's take a look at some characters who deserve their own films. For the list, visit: http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2013/02/top-10-star-wars-characters-who-deserve-solo-films

  7. So... I just recently started reading fanfictions for the first time (all KOTOR related). Among the many that I just read, two of them (well a prequel and sequel) are now the best things I have ever read. They are called From the Ashes (1) and Chasing Redemption (2) and are written by Prisoner 24601 on fanfiction.net. (Here is a link if you want to read them, they are wonderful: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1790515/1/From-the-Ashes and https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2128578/1/Chasing-Redemption) But here's the problem. The sequel isn't finished, but I didn't know that when I started reading it so I got emotionally attached to it (hehe). It was last updated like 9 years ago, so I am kind of going insane right now because that means either Prisoner 24601 finished it on a different random website that will be impossible to find, or it never was finished:( So the question is, has anybody on this website ever heard of/read these stories? Does anyone know where to find the ending if there is one? I can't stand not finishing a story I have started. Any suggestions as to what I should do would be much appreciated ...

  9. If you haven’t heard the following news, you aren’t a Star Wars fan: Star Wars VII is slated to be released in 2015. Feel free to be excited. It’s been 8 years since Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released and it seems a little hard that we have to wait another two years to see it, but we’ll count ourselves lucky if it’s released even that soon. According to StarWars7news.com, Kathleen Kennedy, a storied producer and head of Lucasfilm, wants to push off the release date until 2016. Apparently, J.J. Abrams has had some trouble coming up with writers who will stick around to create the script. Michael Arndt, an Oscar-winning screenwriter, is no longer writing for it and Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams are back on the job. However, despite the difficulties, Disney CEO Robert Iger is insisting on a 2015 release date. Harrison Ford rumored to return as Han Solo There are also a number of rumors circulating around the release of the movie. For instance, everyone wants to know how many of the show’s former actors will be back to reprise their roles. Harrison Ford’s option to return as Han Solo has been the subject of much debate. On the Today Show Host Erica Hill wouldn’t let him escape without asking him this burning question. Hill said, “I know you said you would love to reprise Indiana Jones, there’s a lot of speculation about Han Solo. . . . Would you care to entertain any of that speculation?” After hem-hawing around the question he answered “You know I’m not in a position to say much about it at this point.” Hill probed deeper: “Ok, so we’ll read into that whatever we want to read into it, how is that?” Finally, Ford was goaded into replying, “It’s a work in progress . . . maybe.” IMDB.com predicts other returning actors The International Movie Database has made a few further predictions. Its Star Wars: Episode VII page includes 5 actors rumored to be returning, including Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Solo), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO). Whether these actors will actually appear in the finished movie is entirely up in the air at this point. Episode VII to return to a gritty, Western feel The Times Magazine recently interviewed J.J. Abrams about what other plans he might have for the movie. He answered, “I loved how [the original] Star Wars had that sense of a world far beyond the borders of what you can see and have been told—it’s one of the things it did so brilliantly.” In the new movie, he’d like to return to this Western frontier-style of galaxy, which will be a departure from the Prequel Trilogy which was set more often in giant, shiny cities. Prepare for Episode VII with Star Wars pajamas gift No matter what the final outcome of these rumors is, it seems only fitting that true Star Wars fans be able to enjoy these timeless classics in style. Jumpin Jammerz has a selection of Star Wars print footed pajamas for the best type of comfy movie-watching. You can buy them for someone you love who can wear while watching the existing 6 episodes of Star Wars and at night while dreaming of Episode VII yet to come . . . May the force be with you. 13. Hey there Star Wars fans, Just wanted to share a new fan made video series with you. In the build up to the launch of Bioware's Star Wars MMO, we've begun a companion series to their official time-line videos and created the Sith Archives. We've already released the first three videos and have an entire series planned. Check out the first entry in the Sith Archives by clicking the following link: Rise of the Silent Council: Details: This is the first video in a series of timeline entries from the Sith Archives on Korriban. A holorecord in the Sith Archive provides the first evidence of a new threat facing the galaxy as Darth Panopticus and the Silent Council emerge from two millennia of hibernation to unleash their rage and destructive force upon the known Galaxy. While both the Republic and Empire are building up for the coming war... in the shadows beyond the Outer Rim, an ancient Sith menace has been plotting the downfall of all who would dare to stand in their way. The darkness is coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it. "Time is a lie, there is only patience. Through patience, I gain perspective. Through perspective, I gain knowledge. Through knowledge, I gain control. Through control, their chains are forged. The Force shall enslave them." - excerpt from the Holocron of Darth Panopticus ------------------------------------- Archive #2 The Great Hyperspace War Check it out the second video by clicking the following link: Details: The Great Hyperspace War was a war fought between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire in BTC 1347. The conflict encompassed the entire Galactic Republic, though the main forces focused their attention on three Republic worlds, and later took the war to the remote star system Primus Goluud, and the Sith mausoleum world of Korriban. After it overcame the initial shock of the Sith invasion, the Republic's armadas regrouped and annihilated the Sith Empire, forcing the Sith Lord Naga Sadow to exile himself to Yavin 4. In this record from the Sith Archive, Darth Panopticus retells the events of the Hyperspace war from a Sith perspective. ------------------------------------- Archive #3 Resurrection Holocrons Check it out the third video by clicking the following link Details: BTC 440- The Sith scientist Darth Foucaultus explains the panoptic philosophy of power that operates as a core principle in the construction of Resurrection Holocrons. The holocron was able to capture the appearance and cognitive networks of the holocron's owner, and transform this into a three-dimensional hologram. This gatekeeper acted as a guide through the holocron's store of information, as a search and recovery engine with a more personal touch. These gatekeepers could relate stories from the holocron's archives to events in the life of the one who activated the holocron.
  14. Tiny Pacific isle of Niue gets Stars Wars images on its currency It sucks that these coins will only be legal tender in Niue, even though the country uses New Zealand currency. Its still pretty awesome though!
  15. Hey guys, I wanted to tell you guys about Freeworlds 2.0, a total conversion mod for Freelancer. FWs 2.0 is currently in development and I'm the mod head there. We're looking to totally change the way FW used to be played. We're adopting a much more "XvT/XWA" type environment, with still the feel of FL. Tides of War (ToW) also has merged with us for this project. We've also been fortunate enough to get ships models from the First Strike mod, thanks to Red Monkey and the crew, as well as the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade Project. Our developers have been posting up blogs for everyone to read. They're viewable to guests, so you don't need to register to view them. Although, I do encourage you to register as you can ask questions of the developers. Here are some links I think you guys should take a look at. The first is a development video, the 6th in the series. This video shows some of the new systems we're in the process of making, the immense capital ships and scale we're using, increase non-player craft (NPCs) AI as well as some "fuse" effects when ships start to get damaged: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kekzl0LyOZ8# The second is our site at MODDB. There you can see all the lovely new fighters we got from the FS Mod/XWAUP. We update this regularly, so I encourage you all to bookmark it and check there often : Freeworlds ModDB site And lastly, this is a link to all our development blogs. You'll be able to see a lot of the new effects, models, systems, ideas we're trying to incorporate for FW 2.0. Development Blogs I really hope to see some of your faces there. I also wish this will satisfy your Star Wars craving when it comes out as well If you guys have any questions, feel free to PM me on our forums, or here. I'll bookmark this link and check back as often as I can. Thanks guys.

  17. Sith'ari "Born of War, Honed in Combat, Forged in Fire...We are the Sith'ari" Information: Guild: Sith'ari Website: Sith'ari Website Alignment: Sith faction based Guild Leaders/founders: Ronan Dexx-Dark Lord of the Sith, Rage Kain-Dark Lord Looking for: Mature, hard working and active members Region: Primarily United States based Server: US PVP Guild game focus: PvP / PvE / RP / Raids Recruiting Status: Open Guild Communications: Voice server, xfire, chat, forums Introduction: Who we are: The Sith'ari is a Sith faction based SWTOR guild founded by the Sith Lord Ronan Dexx and his apprentice Rage Kain. The Sith'ari is one of the most organized and reputable guilds around, and we are forever striving to better ourselves. Go to our site at Sith'ari website, and you shall see that we speak the truth. M for Mature: We do not have a set age limit, but maturity is a MUST. We aren't rated E for everyone, and there are no censors on topics or discussions, though we keep it within reason. It does not matter to us what your age is, just that you can converse intelligently and have a respectable level of maturity. Region: We are a primarily United States based guild, and all of our events and times will be posted in that variance of time zones. If you live in another area you must be able to speak fluent English and have a very flexible time schedule, so that we will not have members only available when others are not. About/Guild Information Our name/Philosophy: Our name has meaning, it is not just a jumble of words hastily thrown together, it is what we are and what our goal is. The Sith'ari was the perfect being, but he was not just born a zealot, a product of all the sith teachings, he was forged in the fires and honed by the struggles of what was necessary to become a true Sith. In a way, this is what we strive to do. We endeavor to better ourselves, to increase our knowledge, and to become absolute perfection. We are hard workers, and only the best survive. The Sith must remain strong, and the weak will be...left behind. What we are looking for: The Sith'ari is looking for mature players who are interested in working with a Sith faction based organized guild. We accept any Sith characters, including bounty hunters and agents. Do not worry, you are all welcome here. We cannot do it all alone, we need agents to be our eyes and ears on the battlefield, and the bounty hunters to be our gauntlet and destroy our targets. All members have the potential to climb the ranks, but you must prove yourself sufficiently in order to gain status. *Mature and dedicated members *Loyal and humorous mindset *Willingness to learn and to better oneself *Hard working and responsible mentality *Past MMO experience Preferred Activity Policy: All members must absolutely be active weekly, which involves posting in the forum, talking on the chat room, etc. This is vital to our guild, and lurkers will be removed. If you are to be away for an extended period of time, you must inform your immediate superiors of how long and when you expect to return. Special accommodations will be made for those serving in the military overseas. This is such an important part of a guild, even if you claim to be the best of the best, if you do not have any active members, your guild will die. This is crucial, and lurking is strictly not tolerated. We are strict, but fair. And remember, above all our intent is to have fun! Community: Our members are geared towards the "hardcore" level of gaming experience and mind set, though our members are interested in all types of the MMO experience (Example: Player Vs Player, Crafting, Roleplaying). We focus on our community, specifically our members. Keep in contact as often as you can, daily if possible even if it is only for a few minutes. Keep up to date with the guild, as we are constantly being updated and expanded, so even an absence of a few days means that you may become lost in what we are discussing and other going ons of the guild. Get to know your fellow brothers, and help them become elite gamers. A member will not be shunned or removed because he/she is lacking in an area, they will be helped along and taught how to better and improve themselves, but you must show a willingness to learn. We may not have the massive numbers of these so called "pro" guilds, but our strength is in our experience, knowledge, and passion for the fight. And remember, we are ALL important to the guild, from the newest members to the experienced Dark Councilors, it takes more than a few to make a great guild. What it takes to be a member- Similar Ideals: Our ideals are of the Sith, and all attached philosophies and beliefs. We do not necessarily expect our non-sith characters (agents/bounty hunters) to know our deepest philosophies and knowledge, but we expect you to have a basis of what to expect and material. We DO expect Sith oriented characters (Warriors/Inquisitors) to have an above average knowledge and understanding of beliefs and lore, including that not only of the Sith but of the force and the dark side. Loyalty: One of the most important qualities we look for in our members is loyalty. It is extremely important to maintain a high level of loyalty to the community you are a part of and have helped to grow and progress. Too many guilds have failed because the members were divided into separate factions or groups. Your loyalty is to each other, and to the guild as a whole, not any individual member. Training: Every person has something that they can learn; something they can improve upon. The leaders are no exception, and neither are new members, no matter what your experience level is. Do not spurn an offer that could help you reach you maximum potential, it is important that you want to be the best you can be. Those new to the sith ways will be tutored under the watchful eye of a master, and you will be their apprentice until they see you as being fit for advancement. Apprentices with high ranking masters will not be allowed to skip ranks, there is a chain of command and it will be followed to the letter. Team Work/ Organization: Team work is essential, as is organization. If you are going to be a part of a raid, PVP competition, or something similar, then you must be prepared for it and you must attend. If another team member suggests something that could improve your battle strategy, do not immediately dismiss or blow off your comrade's idea. We are all brothers here, so we must all get along and at the very least be civil to each other. Structure: Advancement Hopefulls/ Recruits- you will be required to take an inital test to get into the site... If your accepted, your membership is on a trial basis only... You have two weeks to prove yourself. After you are accepted on your trial membership you will be required to take the "full membership test" and post it within the "new recruits section" of our forum. It will be on display so the whole community can view it. During your two week trial period you should be active and get to know everyone. Post in our forums and chat it up with our community members. Once the game is released you should also run instances and party up with some of our members to show them what you know. Having fun is the name of the game... And we like FUN in our community. After your trial period is over, a poll will be posted so that it can be voted on wether you are accepted as a full member and placed... or if your are denied membership and dicharged from the guild. The main thing we are looking for is knowledgeable people, who are fun to hang around, who are mature, and knows how to play MMO's in groups. We are not looking for trouble makers, immature people, Ninja looters, lazy people, or in active people... You have to stay ACTIVE in this guild. Standards for excellence : 1. Leadership- Our leaders are the most active, experienced members in the guild. Our leadership are hands on battle hardened people, and they are the very best we have to offer. Those at the top are the best, period. We are the managers, the guiders, and the strongest. 2. Structure- Our Structure is one of the best, most thought out, and functional systems around. It is the culmination of years of MMO experience and several weeks of intensive work and planning, and is designed to be above all else efficient. The ranks are not merely a symbol or a sign, they have their own responsibilities and duties assigned to them. We have made sure that this is nearly foolproof. 3. Activity- Staying active and communicating with the community is essential to the function of this guild. Keep up to date with the going ons of the guild, and stay active and post in the forums and in the chat room. This is necessary in order to prevent the stagnation of our guild, and will only make us stronger. 4. Training- Constant retraining and rethinking of strategies keep us ahead of the game. And ensures that everyone stays on the same page...Training is key to becoming better Sith and better individuals. Being good at what we do is not enough, we have to be the BEST. 5. Community- Always striving to take care of our own we aim to keep our members happy, focused, and experienced for the coming battles. The community is the most important aspect of a guild, and we are proud to say that we take care of our members well. As long as you work hard, and be the best you can be, you will have a great time with us. What are you waiting for? You have seen what our guild is and has to offer. Think you have what it takes? Visit our site, Look at our structure and polices and if you still feel like you want to be a part of something MORE... Enlist! http://thesithari.guildpower.com/home

  22. Does anyone here want to play a game of Star Wars: Force Commander? I use version 1.0 (because version 1.1 is really glitchy and LucasArts and Ronin Entertainment haven't released a version 1.2 yet to fix the glitches and improve the game more). So if you want to play a game, please contact me or reply to this topic on my forum (or post a new topic or poll on the Star Wars: Force Commander forum on my message board).
  23. Entertainment Weekly apparently got an exclusive first look at a new Star Wars game in the works and has posted a trailer for the game on their website. According to ew.com Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is scheduled for a September 15 release and will allow gamers to play both Jedi and clone trooper characters. Krome Studios is listed as developer for Republic Heroes. The big shocker for me came at the end of the video trailer when I saw the Games for Windows Live logo. LucasArts is going to release a game for the PC?! Whoa! Stop the presses! In addition to PC the game also looks like it will be coming to Playstation, Nintendo Wii and DS, and Xbox 360 platforms. Source: EW.com
  24. What have you been into in the past couple years? Right now? When I was a kid, I loved Lego; more specifically a theme called Bionicle. I knew (or think I knew) everything about it for its first couple years, and it brought me infinite joy while I was into it. Eventually it was replaced by Star Wars for the next 3-4 years. I loved that to bits, priding myself in knowing all the obscurest facts about it etc much like with Bionicle. I havnt been into anything for the past year or two; my love for Star Wars has died down, but I still enjoy it.
