I have succumbed to the temptation of Steam Sales, and bought the first Crysis game (in my opinion the best of the series). I suppose I am asking more for technical support than discussion (not unless you want to discuss your favourite Crysis game and talk about why it is the best of the series), as I seem to be experiencing some game play problems. I cannot throw grenades I keep pressing the "G" button, but nothing happens other than I cannot switch out my guns - and the only way to reverse this is my pressing "H". I don't seem to remember having this problem the last time I played (which was years ago, mind you). Can somebody please help me?

Why lucasarts not want to add to the Star Wars Battlefront Steam, they would earn money Yeshe. And make life easier for many users online game. It would be good to Star Wars Battlefront was in steam. There would be more players online. Would you like to see the Star Wars Battlefront in steam? If so, PLEASE write a letter to all his lucasarts.tsom If a lot of people want it, we all finally see Star Wars Battlefront in steam ^ ^

It's that time of year again - when games are bought by the cartload, only to never see the light of monitor screens, and millions of bank accounts around the world collectively weep - the much anticipated Steam Christmas Holiday (postmodernist pansies...) Sale! I'll endeavour to list the daily specials as they come by when the sale starts, as well as general gimmicks; for referencing purposes for now and posterity. (Or i might stuff it and just link to some other place where someone's already done it. Whatever works. ) What are you looking forward to/hoping for, if anything? How much do you think you'll spend? [Edit] So it begins. Note: This list is by no means complete. At present, it only contains the main sale daily deals. Apart from this, there are myriad Publisher Catalogues, Franchise Sales, and Individual Packs all at various discounts - listing them all would be incredibly impractical. Today's (20-Dec) daily deals are: All @ 75% off ~ Pendulo Adventure Pack ($12.49 to $4.97) Orcs Must Die! ($14.99 to $3.74) DLC also discounted. Max Payne and Max Payne 2 ($9.99 to $2.49 each, or $14.99 to $3.74 for both) Portal and Portal 2 ($9.99 to $2.49, and $29.99 to $7.49 respectively; $34.98 to $8.74 for both) Amnesia: The Dark Descent ($19.99 to $4.99) Sam & Max Franchise Sale ($29.99 to $7.49 each for Season One and Season Two; $34.99 to $8.74 for The Devil's Playhouse, and $49.99 to $12.49 for the Complete Pack) Metro 2033 ($19.99 to $4.99) Rift ($29.99 to $7.49 for the Standard Edition "With C-Cap Tactical Shell", and $39.99 to $9.99 for the Ashes of History Edition) Just Cause 2 ($19.99 to $4.99) DLC also dsicounted Bunch of Heroes ($9.99 to $2.49) Fable and Fable 3 ($9.99 to $2.49 and $49.99 to $12.49 respectively) DLC also discounted

Well there's been lots of talk about OnLive recently and that has kind of got me thinking of the way the PC gaming industry is headed. So I'm curious, currently do you buy your PC games from a retail store like GameStop or Amazon, or do you prefer digital downloads from services like Steam or Direct2Drive? Personally I still like having a boxed copy, but it seems like that is quickly going out of favor and it's probably also not as smart as you're not guaranteed that any potential DRM will let you play it, seems like it's all too common to hear about draconian DRM not allowing a game to be played at all. But seems like that is not an issue with Steam in my limited experience with it. Also, I will not be so foolish to buy a boxed copy of something if it is cheaper on direct download. The only game I've bought from Steam is Left 4 Dead and I got it on the half off weekend.

Are you guys aware of this issue in Loom - steam version: In the village, at the beginning of the game, when you enter the tent on the far right with the green dye, the line "Grass green. I hate that color." is cut off. He says "Grass green. I hate that col..". :¬: I tried deleting local content and re-downloading, but still the same. So it has to be common with this Steam release. The old cd release does not have this issue. The audio should be intact in the CDDA.SOU file, but the end mark for that line must just be a second too short. Is there any chance it can be fixed? Thanks!

(This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Alien Swarm! What was once an extremely popular UT2k4 mod has not been revamped with the Source engine and is not being released today, July 19th, for FREE on Steam! I'm downloading it right now. I see a bunch of you already have, but I thought I'd still spread the word. Feel free to post your impressions! I'll be coming back here in an hour or two saying what I think of it EDIT: Played with some friends for a few hours. Feels very much like a top-down L4D, which is a good thing. There are loads of weapon and load out, options. You choose from one of four classes, essentially Tank, DPS, Tech, and Healer. You then choose your main weapon and your secondary weapon, along with some sort of utility (damage amp, armor, freeze grenades, etc). The game is also quite pretty. The lighting is very atmospheric and the monsters are all detailed (to the point where you can easily tell which type you're fighting). I'm headed to the gym so I'll give a more detailed review later, but my only main criticism right now is that the servers are being absolutely assaulted. The lag is pretty bad.
