  2. So I'm playing a medium game on the equal footing map as the empire, and throughout the entire game, the Rebellion's sole strategy has been: massive attack with often 100+ X wings/Y wings 10-20 Nebulon B's and a couple Corvets. If you auto resolves those battles, you lose, but if have even just a level 3 station and coordinate the defense yourself (Which takes often takes forever) , you can win. At first I had no problem with this, it feels great to destroy a massive invading force with just fighters and a corvete, even if it does take forever. But once I hit tech levels 4-5, and the Consortium started building captial ships, I expected the republic to start using more advanced ships and tactics... Nope. Still a fighter swarm. So, all that to say, is that the only strategy the Republic uses? Is there a way to make it use more reasonable tactics? Noteworthy: I have played as the Consortium on the Origin of Corruption map and the rebellion does the exact same thing
  3. Hey all, my name is Tim Temmerman. I worked at Lucasarts for 10 years up until the Disney acquisition and closure. I was a Designer and Producer on titles like Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb, Star Wars Galaxies, The Old Republic, and Star Wars First Assault. Another fellow Lucasarts teammate, Matt Boland, and I have been working on a new game called Super Roman Conquest. It's a sidescrolling strategy game with 2D sprites in a 3D world, based in the setting of Ancient Rome. (Sorry we couldn't make another Star Wars game ). We just got done with a trailer (with music scored by former Lucas employee Jesse Harlin) and wanted to show you guys: We're hoping to get the game funded through Kickstarter so we can release it next Summer. The art you see is temporary, but we're bringing another Lucas artist on the team to help define the art. Anyway, take a look, and please let us know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks and sorry for the shameless plug! - Tim
  4. Hi, guys. I'm trying to advance the Sand People quest (light side) and cannot manage to survive the fight at the sand crawler. Does anyone have a winning strategy or any recommendations (level, party members, etc.)?
  5. hey so I was happily cruising through the game until I hit the Ophelia stage battle and she wiped the floor with me a bunch of times. So I thought I would start a thread where people could share their best battle tactics to help people like me who probably spend too much time running about with an axe. which unit types work well together? what's the best way to crush your enemies, drive their armies before you and hear the lamentations of their women?
