Guest TG Browning Posted January 27, 2000 Share Posted January 27, 2000 Am now really stuck and at a loss as to what I can do. Have finished the first part of the Palawan Volcano level but as soon as I go through the doors, end the level and wrap everything up for the next level, things flake on me. First, it takes forever for the game to start up the opening load scene for the next (7th ?) level and then, when it finally does come up and complete, the program crashes and I'm back looking at the Windows 98 desktop. When I check the saved games folder, there isn't any one for the start of that level so I can't get started via that route. Is there a known counter to this other than using a saved game from someone? Has anybody figured out what causes it? On the theory that I might have have had some stuff scrambled in earlier game saves,that have come back to haunt me, I've started from scratch to see if I could build a clean set of saves. Haven't gotten to the same point yet so I don't know if this is going to work or not. Help. Double help. Hey, I'd accept even smarmy pity if it gets me back in the game. . . .
