Can you give a droid a weapon?

Is it possible to give a droid you own a weapon? If not can it at least help you fight? And also is it possible to own a Proticale Droid cike C-3po?

Some Droids can help you fight, I am not sure if all of them can fight. To the best of my knowledge you can't give droids weapons that they can use, but you can store items in droids... I do know that you can own a protocol droid, Master Droid Engineers craft them but I am not exactly sure their purpose in galaxies since i know how to comprehend all langugages, and I don't see the immediate need to have a conversation with moisture vaporators...
