Covax
***K! Kill me now! I've had the same friggin problems with Jedi Outcast and now that Academy is in my hands I'm gonna shoot someone! I keep getting what I guess are JPEG error, a level loads and it crashes to the desktop with some of these messages: - Bogus DHT counts - Corrupt JPEG data: bad Huffman code - Unsuported Marker Type 0x<something> The message would depend on my various grafics settings. With Outcast I would always crash as the second level tries to load. Now I have the same problem with Academy, I'm trying lo load ANY of the post-training missions and I get crashes. Then if I try to reload the training level it keeps crashing untill I reinstall the danmed thing. As a further note the JA demo worked just fine, Elite Force 1 and 2 work just fine. Now... there WAS a solution for Outcast, it was a stupid solution but it worked, so it's not stupid: What I have are 2 CD drives, a DVDRom (E) and a CD Burner (F). If I install the game on E, but put the game disk in F... somehow it works fine. Don't ask me why, it does. Sometimes I get the JPEG complaints I reinstall (if it's not because of a mod I'm working on) and back to normal. But I can't do that with Academy! It keeps asking for Disk 1 in whatever drive I installed it on. "Just WORK you F***ING peice of S***!" Damn, I can't Mod the game if I can't even PLAY the damed thing. It's been like 3 years and Lucasarts/Raven haven't done SQUAT. My system: Win 98 Nvidia G4 Ti card, det 45.23 drivers P4 1.7 CPU 765 Mb ram
